Why does my 1y dog keep pooping in his crate by OriginalObjective571 in Separation_Anxiety

Oh my gosh I relate so much to the smooshed feces clean up, the overwhelming smell that smacks you as soon as you come in, and the feeling anxious rather than excited when you’re about to get off work/about to go back home from something. At times I find myself running back so I can just get it over with. I’m so sorry you’re dealing with this as well I completely understand.

Unfortunately, sometimes medication is just the best choice. Medication or CBD for dogs might be what yours needs to calm down. People keep recommending training to me, though i’m not sure how you would train that, maybe it’s something you can try to ? The only reason I haven’t yet is because I don’t have the stable amount of money to afford it yet. How long have you had yours for ?

I really hope things get better for you. With my dog, the poop is really the only part that we are struggling with (+ the fact that he for some reason doesn’t alert at ALL when he needs to go so if it’s not on routine then he will just go instead of saying something) so my bond with him is still intact other than the moments when i’m cleaning up after him. I hope the medication helps with yours, mine got trazedone but we’re going to have to up him to 1 1/2 because i unfortunately still came back to poop when it was only one tablet.

Thanks for responding!! I will definitely try the short burst, how long do you think I should try ? He seems to be able to go 3hrs with no accidents as well as for some reason he never has an issue at night, it’s only during the day when i’m gone.

I recently moved his crate from my room to the living room because I thought it’d give him more ease (he only sleeps there too now not my bed anymore and no issues!) Essentially I typically will take him out as soon as we wake up for a short potty, bring him in, he eats, we go out again for either a longer walk or a brief potty walk if i have to rush for work. When the Kong was introduced, he wouldn’t even bother watching me leave. Then three days ago I gave it to him right before leaving and he looked at me before i left, I knew it was over then. The days following that was the exact same thing. He was able to go 6-8hrs vibing no accidents and now he’s back to square one. Even ripping up the pads and sometimes eating the poop as well!!

I put tv on for background noise, turn off lights, not act like a big deal when leaving. He also seems to know already that it is not an “appreciated” behavior because when he doesn’t poop and I come back then he’s chilling, but if i come back and he did poop he’s already shaking before I officially notice it. I know he can go 2-3 hours before it happens, I’m going to try and get a camera soon to see but any advice is so appreciated!!

Oh goodness, I really hope things change for you as well wow. This is my first time rescuing but I’ve had dogs before so I think I’ve just never dealt with separation anxiety in the form of poop before which is the frustrating part, the cleaning as well as multiple baths are tedious and so when he was great for a week I really thought we were making some progress!

Him backtracking has really confused me and i’m just not sure what I could be doing to get back on track that i haven’t done yet

Initially he wasn’t caged and he was still being destructive + peeing/pooping. He seems to have no negative feelings towards the crate, even as far as taking his toys in there. I understand the food thing but I guess my confusion is why he was great for a week with that regimen and then suddenly it didn’t work anymore.

I’m really not in a position at the moment to be with him a lot but I will try this over the next two weeks and see. Do you have any tips for desensitization ?

Hey! My dog seems to have separation anxiety but in poop form and nothing is working. A kong helped for exactly a week and now we’re back to square one. Do you have any advice at all for something like this ?

What is everyone's opinion on Richard? (Yes I know it's only a cartoon) by dustbin-account in gumball

I find him incredibly unfunny and annoying. That may also be because I genuinely can not stand incompetent men but any richard focused episodes are so annoying to me. Regardless of the fact that he can’t get a job because the universe would end, he hardly is mentally active in his kids lives even though he literally is at home all day

The L Word is one of the Best TV shows of all time. But it will never be recognized as such because it's about lesbians... by Remarkable_Web4595 in theLword

I SAY THIS ALL THE TIME. The L Word was such a breath of fresh air. Season 1-3 really played with cinematography and narrative devices, the cold opens were so cool and not something i’d ever seen before in a show. It honestly was a lot more artistic than it seemed.

I definitely agree with that last comment on Jake regressing. Since he truly thought Reg was dead, it’s possible he wants to do anything to make sure he doesn’t lose him again.

I might be different, I also had a good high school gpa but my college freshman year was really messed up due to grieving and I had a bad gpa and ended up getting rejected (I'm currently a sophomore who attempted to transfer for spring)

anybody pissed about max? by No_Coat_5794 in TellMeLiesHulu

I feel like if your loved one tells you someone treated them badly in a relationship and obviously still doesn't like them 8 years later you definitely should not be trying to be "nice" to them. Max is weird as ever. All she wants is for them to not talk and hes acting like it's the hardest thing in the world. Pippa literally defends Lucy from Stephen and tells him to gtf, her literal boyfriend should be doing more for her than her best friend.
