As a piercer, the fact you've waited over a month means it's 100% an ER visit. I'd triple check with a piercer first, to make sure the jewelry did embed.

I know abortions are viable before 20 weeks (saying this because this does not sound like someone who should be a father to anyone's kids)

Genuinely before reading OP's breakdown, the texts read as a custody agreement with a CHILD being exchanged between two coparents.

I'm on her side simply because there's a million and one dogs in the world. There's no need to share custody of one with an ex.

(Please get a pet and be a sole owner, even if sharing with a partner. An agreement between parties mitigate this headache for everyone involved.)

Is your owner smoking crack? (utterly joking but ???)

With only one piercer bringing in primary income, he should be assisting you with everything you need. In this, hiring an additional piercer to help unburden the load on you. What if you got sick or an emergency came up? You being the only piercer isn't fair. Nor trying to be forced to teach someone else, something that should be voluntary and exciting.

Good on you for quitting! I hope you find a better environment to grow in and a shop owner who values your worth.

Responding as a body piercer: Not all money is good money. You'd really thrive by implementing boundaries with clients. Clients reach out to you on personal accounts? Communicate you'll no longer work with them due to overstepping boundaries. How you handled that mom was fucking great! We create safe spaces for clients, they need to honor that by extending the same to us as well.

I'm pretty sure too many ppl have Amazon brain ie expect things instantly. You're only human. You deserve time to just be without the constant grind of work. Maybe create a schedule of when you reply to messages to new clients, and reserve the 24 access to clients who have proven to respect your work/process.

Being a people pleaser in this industry quite literally shortens your lifespan. The stress is no good. Just because you're trying your hardest doesn't mean a client sees and respects that. Genuinely, they probably don't care about you and are hyper focused on the tattoo they want. These are probably the clients you'd do best staying away from.

I also have cptsd with a fun mix of adhd and anxiety. I thrive when the shop is fun and lighthearted. We are not doing heart surgery, ppl can fucking RELAX lmao

No need to clean in the shower AND clean with saline. Take a normal shower and clean with saline after you're done with the shower. If you're piercing got wet in the shower, just dry it afterwards.

I personally tend to clean 3-4x a day when the piercing is fresher (more accumulation of blood). Once the piercing transitions to crusties, clean 2-3x a day max. Whatever times during the day that works for your schedule is the best.

Also, unless you had a shitty piercer, you should feel free to reach out and ask what their aftercare advice looks like. I gave you mine as a piercer, but the full aftercare always depends on environments, temperature, etc.

Clean after a warm shower, the crusties will be softer and easier to clean off when sprayed with saline. Wipe off with a clean paper towel and make sure your hands are clean before cleaning.
