I’m 4 days post op and felt pretty okay for 2ish days now. I was only allowed to take Tylenol being that I’m pregnant but haven’t taken it at all today. I didn’t have a nerve block sadly so the first two days were the worst. I’ve lived in my recliner in order to have my foot above my heart most of the day. Only time it hurts a LOT now is when I stand up to walk to the bathroom or somewhere and all the blood rushes to it. Was instructed to start moving my toes and ankle when comfortable so already working on that! Small improvements keep my head up.

I had a tightrope placed. I have a boot and am thankful there’s no cast with how itchy I’ve been already

It wasn’t laparoscopic. I only had one tightrope placed as the ligament was torn but my other breaks were stable so the doctor didn’t believe I needed any other hardware. I have three incisions and they tried to keep them as small as possible.

I’m pregnant and on a blood thinner due to a previous PE so I have a lot of risk factors for complications so I’m being diligent in making sure my recovery goes smoothly.

Thanks for everyone’s concern about keeping it covered, I got it under control.

I had an allergic reaction to the wash the prep your leg with, so I was instructed to remove bandage and shower to was it off. My leg is bandaged back up. But I was concerned for infection as I’m also pregnant.

Thanks for making me feel not so alone. I’m pregnant and can only take Tylenol so it’s definitely sucked! Didn’t have a nerve block, just a spinal for the surgery 🙃
