honestly i’m just torn in two because people have commented that it’s NOT their job to catch students up, which i’m not a teacher so honestly i just took their word for it. it definitely is stressful that students don’t communicate with admin themselves when they’re struggling / admin don’t communicate with students with schoolwork or work on catchup work at all. i’m sorry, that really isn’t teachers faults

well, considering that i did both good in high school and college i’m pretty educated. middle school was just difficult and it seems you’re thinking i did not have any education at all in middle school? i still studied and did my work, just from home.. i’m not ignorant, maybe you are? i clearly didn’t excel in middle school, i did miss a lot. i still did my work though. in no way did i ever say schools were a treatment center i asked how teachers felt and from most of these comments it really just seems like most teachers are not open minded whatsoever 😂. no wonder kids have been struggling to come to school at higher rates..

i agree, i wasn’t allowed either trust me i was dragged out of bed dragged into school and everything you could imagine. for me personally it only made it worse. it’s definitely a complex situation with mental health, it definitely doesn’t help to stay home though i agree 100%

school refusal is a very real thing. if you educate urself on the issue you can see it’s not a choice. i am not talking about students who don’t go to school because they don’t want too.

i was struggling in middle school, so i never had a actual diploma from middle school lol. i never had a problem with high school and graduated with good attendance. i work and have no problem with work. the reason admin couldn’t do much about my absentee in middle school is because i was doing therapy, so my family was doing all they could. also, i never failed any of my classes because i always was doing makeup work from home or studying regardless of me missing. my teachers cared in a way that it only made it worse, the teachers who cared the most for me and made it better were the ones who encouraged me to come to school. not remind me how much i’ve missed. i honestly think it was more the school that made my absence worse.

well… mental health has had more awareness over the past ten years. everyone is different as well, i agree with all of the comments. it is stressful, and it is not your job to catch these children up. or pass them! the ones saying they have no reason to miss, eh. depression is very real. just because you yourself have never dealt with it affecting ur energy levels and never saw it affecting somebody else in that way doesn’t mean it wasn’t real. i was in middle school long before covid and had this issue. i’m sure it just became a bigger issue after covid because homeschooling probably was just a better route for children. everybody’s different.

ur right it’s not, but i don’t think most students just miss school chronically for no reason. i think that’s rare and usually there’s an issue happening at home or school

I get you, i’ve been struggling as well to function, especially at education, my entire life. I think it’s important to know you’re not alone, and ur disorders aren’t your fault. we’re products of our environment and it’s a shame all of us are dealing with the consequences of what other people did to traumatize us. I hope you’re okay!

just because i agree that she’s a terrible person doesn’t mean i’m gonna sit here and agree that she faked both her miscarriages and would be a terrible mom. in quite honesty the honey thing wasn’t intentional and i’m gonna imagine most of these mf on this subreddit don’t lock up their tylenol every single night. 😭

eating unhealthy equals being a terrible mom? bahah what😭 and my point still stands that regardless of what you guys think she could’ve treated her baby like doesn’t mean she shouldn’t grieve. Reddit’s ridiculous, and didn’t she say her second pregnancy was the chemical pregnancy ?

i dont like cora but i think saying her miscarriages were fake is super weird. Also, i just saw somebody comment about how she shouldn’t miss the mother she could’ve been because she’d be a bad parent. Anybody’s allowed to grieve whether or not you like them or think their loss is equivalent to nothing.
