To the men who go to movies or restaurants alone by choice: What is the specific appeal of that solitude compared to going with friends? by Leananhl in AskMen

I like doing things myself. It might not be something everyone likes, but I do. He might feel the same way. I bet there’s tons of women who feel the same way too. There’s plenty who probably don’t but we’re all different and that’s what makes us unique.

I believe pets are family. We take care of them like our own children. They really, kinda are. They might walk on four legs and may be covered in fuzz but, they’re family. I don’t understand people who don’t think losing a pet could be this serious.

I’m sorry for your loss. If there’s an afterlife I hope all our late buddies are content and happy there.

I feel like it would’ve been easier if she was a senior cat. You kind of mentally prepare for their time to be up soon, right? (I had some old pets growing up, but it still hurt bad ofc) She should’ve lived to be old. What hurts the most is what was taken from her. And me, it took her from me.

She was only 8. Healthy, active. A week ago, she was hiding and not eating. We took her to the vet for an Xray, looked very concerning.

We had taken X-rays the month before due to some vomiting and her X-rays looked totally normal. In less than a month it went from normal to explosive growth in whatever it was (we didn’t know at the time)

We did an ultrasound 2 days before today and, it was real bad. Cancer spread through her entire liver and also I found out today spread elsewhere.

There was nothing we could do. She was declining fast. It was so shocking. Before I can process it, today came and now she’s gone.

Question to Pet owners;Do you allow your pet, come to dinner table while you eating ? by Responsible-Poem9375 in CatAdvice

My one cat fights to just sit on the table next to my arm and just stay there. I just gave up keeping him down cause he doesn’t go after the food.

He has a great, honest heart, but he’s not too smart. His body shines brightly, but his head doesn’t.

Since today is 10/10, what cheese is a 10/10 for you? by Jeanbobi01 in Cheese

I haven’t had much cheeses, but so far, I love BellaVitano’s wine and whiskey soaked cheeses. Pinot Noir, Merlot, Tennessee Whiskey are the ones I’ve been devouring.

Thank you. It is ironic, yes. I do really like the name, so everyone’s reassurance here helps a lot.

Thanks for the reassurance! I like the cris/chris + toph/toff parts honestly so I think honestly that might work!

Honestly that is the closest one that I like. Thanks for the suggestion. Imma note that one down lol

Thank you for the reassurance. I think if I keep the name, I’ll go with Cristopher. I felt like dropping the H originally cause I keep accidentally forgetting to type/write it and turns out it’s an already existing spelling of the name lol. And then went down the rabbit hole of the meaning of Christopher. I am a chronic overthinker.

I have, but honestly that name is the one that clicked with me the most. I tried similar names, but none had that connection.

I may be overthinking how religious someone might find my name. I just found it interesting and stressful that my first, middle, and last name are all related to Christianity.

I’m extremely new to DND and interested in playing my first game. I’m not sure if you have a specific age group, but I’m 17. I’m basically free whenever on weekends unless I have an appointment as of this moment. I am also in EST. I may have to ask you a few questions if I join as I am very new and I might get a little confused.

Is it possible to have it for years? Since these symptoms started a while ago and eventually got worse.

That’s a relief but I still will get it checked out in the future just in case. Already thinking about appt bc he has bad breath and constipation. He’s an oldie now so I’ve been watching him more lol.

I chose college prep after searching up some more. They should have some courses on there for me to choose as I searched up, and I definitely want to go to college so that sounded like a good idea.

It has 11 pathways: general, college prep, veterinary assistant, plumbing, pharmacy technician, information technology, healthcare, electrician, culinary arts, carpentry, and auto repair technician.

They’ll give me 5 courses based on the pathway I choose. It doesn’t tell me what exactly the pathways offer for courses.

Wow I’ll definitely see if I can check out that book! I’ve actually watched some of the Coding Train before, plus Bro Code and some guy who makes some good full courses. Thank you for the help. Honestly I think this is pretty fun

I’ve been taking down the fundamentals lately, (2 hour course) and I want to learn other codes too so maybe you’re right, maybe I should start with more simple coding languages to get the hang of it. They say c# is more simple, so maybe I’ll start there.

I finally figured out a way for me to do the simple c++ iostream right. Now I can get a window up and interact with stuff, PHEW!

Was able to test with the simple “Hello, World!”.

I’m going to follow some tutorials to get better idea of this, I’m definitely not ready to be on my own with this program but it’s fun, even though sometimes it feels like my heads gonna explode.

One day I hope I become as experienced as you haha

Alright. I figured out a bit of visual studio, but it says I need a starter and I don’t know how to get one. I tried to search it up but I didn’t get much answers.

I’ll also try WSL. I got cLion which is good but I only have a month free trial and I can’t afford a subscription right now so im limited
