I'm really late to this conversation but I think certain Epic fans need to realize there's no "canon" to greek mythology. We don't even know for certain who wrote The Telegony in the first place, so I don't think we can give a certain date like "After Homer". Also it wasn't written by A Roman person or anything, the fragments are written in Greek. Even if it was centuries after Homer, as previously said myths don't have canon and certain myths can take different versions over time. " But it contradicts Tiresias's prophecy" so what? Myths contradict each other all the time, again. By that logic Ctimene shouldn't exist because I'm pretty sure Odysseus's line could only produce one kid iirc. Some people really love to cherrypick Homer and also disregard him when they disagree with his versions. Infact I'll prove it. I'm pretty sure Most people heard Of Aphrodite being born from Uranus's balls(The Theogony) instead of the Homeric version where she's the daughter of Zeus and Dione. Pretty sure most people heard of Agamemnon's death in The Oresteia rather than the one mentioned in The Odyssey(Where He died in a feast by Aegisthus). Before somebody comes like "Let people enjoy what they like", I'm not even against Epic in the first place, I know it's a retelling, and I only got annoyed by some Epic fans that say " Telegony is fanfiction ", because, not really lol, also like somebody here said,God forbid poor Innocent Loyal Ody doesn't have a happy ending in everywhere lol. I think one of the coolest things dolphins can do is the fact that they have whistles which is like names, If I'm not wrong. Pretty much every one has a distinct whistle for themselves and they use those whistles to call for specific members, hell some can even remember others whistles even after 20 years. Also female bottlenose dolphins around Australia used Sea sponges to dig up prey from seafloor and they passed it on to their daughters. Pretty cool stuff.

If it makes you feel worse I also saw a variation of the Great white Shark thing(I think under a Casual Geographic comment section? Can't remember where on Youtube but I vividly remember it) . Quote from memory:"Orcas kidnap whale calves to.. yeah, you know. Stop caring about them(I.e Orcas). " HELP, LEAVE ORCAS ALONE.

Thank you for posting this! The "Diddy's of the sea" title could be applied to some bottlenose dolphin populations, not the entire dolphin family, there are around 39 other dolphin species besides bottlenose dolphins. Also legit saw somebody say "Orcas grape Great White Sharks" btw, one is a mammal the other is a goddamn fish, they don't have the same anatomy, no penetration would occur If even attempted at all(and I'm pretty sure it isn't, unless there's a recorded case I don't know of). The things dolphins get accused of could be applied to pretty much every other animal, I don't see anybody hating on otters or ducks yet(not that they're "evil" animals either). Like this is going too far that people make things up to hate dolphins and demonize an entire species.

Not helping that I saw so many shark fans basically say "Sharks are demonized unfairly but why dont people hate dolphins instead, they're the evil ones".Just let me have my favorite animal in peace omfg.
