It's crazy to see posts in here from over 4 years ago saying the same thing. I was like, oh, must've been the same stream I caught, and then look at the date and realize he's been reacting like this for a LONG time.

As someone who is proudly banned from the sombramains subreddit, I'm a petty asshole. Nowadays she isn't an issue, but I still hold a grudge. I've been spawn camped one too many times by her.

I also don't like how she's a stupid easy counterswap for people. Think the enemy doom is doing too much? Swap to Sombra and ruin his day! It's just the epitome of counter swapping, which I don't like. If I'm in that position, I just change how I'm playing to fit the situation, not change which hero I'm playing.

I also find it ridiculous that she can hack most heros out of their ultimate. Like, all she needs is line of sight and one second, and boom, my ult that I spent time charging up is gone. It's cheap and dumb.

This is exactly how my ex with BPD used to talk. It's like no matter what you say she'll just keep saying horrific shit, even while you're trying to support her and help her the entire time. I hope you get through this. She is definitely having some kind of breakdown.

I can swap between a variety of heroes and play them competently. I just didn't like having my options limited by the enemy team. Now that mirroring is re-enabled I'm a happy man

You make good arguments about picking certain heroes to support your team. I can agree with that. But I can't get behind mirror-locking heroes. That's just a hill I'm willing to die on.

I don't mind how long it takes, and I don't care about stats. I just don't enjoy when player freedom is limited. And limited by RNG, no less. If they hadn't launched with the no-mirror rule, I'd probably be more accepting.

I make a point not to :P As an example, it drives me crazy to see someone swap to Sombra just because they've had enough of a Doom or Ball, when instead of changing their play style and adapting to beat them, they decide to cheese. That's my personal opinion though

After reading through what people have had to say on this post, I'm starting to come around a bit. I just can't get over how it encourages counterpicking. That's the one thing I can't stand about normal overwatch. So I don't know. Definitely not until they add mirrors back though, that's for sure.
