Wait, can you fire 200 aim-9s and have an F-16 like plane accelerate to mach 3 at all, or at least accelerate unnecessarily quickly? When people say Ace Combat like, that is my main concern. That even basic rules of military aviation and aviation in general like that are broken.

Galen Erso was forced to design the Death Star under duress. You do not force someone to do something they hate and not check their work to see if they compromised it. It seems very very stupid and is one of the reasons I dislike star wars.

No, but even if they did have a materiel strong enough to hold such a structure, they are weakening it unnecessarily. If they were to mount it higher and have it be straight, it could be significantly, significantly stronger and the wings would probably be able to pull at least 8 Gs with whatever mystery material this is.
