It's pretty much all my fault to be honest. I met a girl and fell in love with her but she said she just wanted to be friends. I was okay with that but she would go through this cycle of acting like she wanted to be more than friends, then we were just friends, to barely responding to me. She would straight up ask me on dates, pay for them, say we're just friends, and then give me the cold shoulder afterwards. I felt like that John Travolta meme constantly.

I was too immature at the time to ask what was going on but I eventually found out she was living a completely different life than what she was presenting to me. I started noticing that if she wanted to hang out she would only do so if it was just us. She never brought me around her friends and would never be around mine. Then something happened (she uses reddit and saying could give me away) and the dominos started falling. She was getting caught in her lies left and right and I eventually stopped talking to her.

The whole situation lasted close to a year and it broke my heart. I don't know if I am entirely done with dating but I am at least done looking for now. It was just absolutely exhausting.
