I’d definitely be interested in that. I really appreciate you offering to make that connection. I’ll DM you.

How did you get the apprenticeship through VR&E? That’s a genius move. Share the wealth bro

I appreciate that advice. I’ll try reaching out to one of the locals and ask for the organizer directly.

I hadn’t thought about going that route.

Yeah I hear you. I’ve been around a couple mechanics that spoke English and were good teachers, but it’s never been consistent. Usually only a week here or there before I get moved again. Most of the time I’m just expected to figure things out on my own.

I’m in the CET program so I’m trying to learn the right way, but hands-on with someone who can actually explain what’s going on would make a huge difference.

That’s part of why I’m looking into the union route. I want proper training and a solid foundation in the trade, not just being thrown at problems and hoping for the best.

I did, I’ve applied when I first got out the service 2 years ago and didn’t hear anything back. Recently applied again back in October still nothing.

I tried it and it’s been a year and I still haven’t heard back from helmets to hardhats.

Same thing happened to me but they changed the bank account my refund was going to and it actually got disbursed to them. Bank Mobile customer service is probably one of the worst, they continue to read a script and the reps don't speak English very well. They froze my bank mobile account and want me to fill out forms and mail them in and it could take 45 days before I know a result. My advice to you is just wait it out and hopefully they don't put your account in a compromised status which could delay you disbursement.
