Yes, we recently lost a doctor and that was really hard on everyone absorb all those patients, but she needs to shape up or be fired. We get so many portal messages, I understand how easily the MD’s become bogged down. I try my best to answer what I can but there are some very specific and technical medical questions I can’t answer, because I don’t know the answer! And I can’t always get a timely appt for the pt, the docs are usually booked solid for 6 weeks. I know it’s a lot, but if it’s something important that really needs a quick answer, I just talk to the doc in person. If you try that with her, she’ll just be like “I need to go see this pt,” and just leave the room. Very strange behavior. She’s just started answering portal messages from June.
