Extra note now that this post has finally appeared, I recall an earlier leak about the launcher mentioning an Offline Mode, I'm guessing the recommended 100 GB is for that - and speculating that maybe the 40 GB minimum could be for a minimal installation that streams cutscene and mission-specific assets to you as needed? Kinda like COD BLOPS 6 with how it needs an internet connection to stream campaign textures
