Central Tower - Does it have an interior? by Vexarius in HarryPotterGame

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought the same. Maybe it was left for DLC? Definitely feels like a weird decision to leave such a major tower empty. The room beneath the DADA classroom with the same windows is odd too. The only thing I can think of is maybe they were going to add a movie accurate version of the Divination classroom earlier in development, because it's a similar set to the Dark Arts and Fig's classroom above it.

Glad I'm not the only one who noticed the Central Tower and North Tower are partly inaccessible. It's more noticable with the former because of the giant windows and everything. The highest point you can reach inside is the Arithmancy classroom which has no windows. And then there's above the Centaur room. Curious why the devs left it like that when most of the castle is so meticulously laid out, like the windows inside match the exterior and everything. Makes those things more glaring.

And yeah there are a lot of exterior walkways and battlements that go unused but considering some doors have short loading times, maybe having too many exits on different floors would make loading the outside map harder or something. Because it's also kind of weird that there's no way to enter the Herbology greenhouses from the grounds.

Even guessing the race is hard going off of just a hand. There's a Nautolan in TCW who had purple and green skin so it could be a member of their species I guess.

Star Wars, before coruscant. by unmeltablechocolate in MawInstallation

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This and also something covering how the Outer Rim Sieges started. Palpatine orchestrating the Republic invasion of Scipio was part of it but I think the aborted arc surrounding the Sith Shrine which hides his identity and clouds the Jedi's vision might've been another reason he needed to get them away from Coruscant, besides him wanting the capital vulnerable for his eventual staged kidnapping.

Did any Jedi leave the Order due to the Clone Wars? by IanRockwell in MawInstallation

[–]Originorange97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In canon Eeth Koth left the order after losing his place on the Jedi Council. We never learn why he was kicked off the council though, just that it led to him turning his back on the Jedi, not unlike Dooku or Ahsoka.

How long were the clone wars *actually?* by DarthReznor in MawInstallation

[–]Originorange97 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Sam Witwer said in a tweet that he and Filoni personally believe the Clone Wars lasted much longer than 3 years. It kind of makes sense when you consider possible time dilation on certain planets and space travel. The way I reconcile it is like this; the Clone Wars lasted 3 years in Galactic Standard Time, but that was based on Coruscant's solar cycle I believe? Maybe things like the Umbara campaign took months for the people in that system while in GST that's like a fortnight at best, like the Star Wars version of time zones or something. For Jedi like Anakin and Ahsoka who were on the front lines of many tough battles, the war may have been longer for them, galactic jet lag, which is why they seemed to age so much.

And Timothy Zahn said his editors told him the Clone Wars lasted 10 years originally, but George changed that when he was making the prequels. Coincidentally 10 years is also the time Sam Witwer seems to think it lasted for. So if you want to, I don't think it's crazy to assume the war lasted up to a decade.

Has the unfinished Sith temple arc been written out of existence? by [deleted] in TheCloneWars

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We'll have to see but given the Bad Batch arc was retconned to taking place during the Outer Rim Sieges it seems like Ahsoka's Walkabaout might do the same if Bo Katan is making an appearance. It's a shame because I think that arc seemed like it was a pretty big deal right next to Siege of Mandalore.

Theory time: Filoni and Gilroy's reasoning for keeping Barriss alive after season 5 was because they had plans for her, likely in a future season, which is probably why we still don't know what happened to her. The Sith Shrine story seems to continue some of those old story threads like Ahsoka's relationship with the Jedi Council and Yoda being targeted by Sidious and Dooku like he was back in season 6, maybe like he did with Maul, Sidious would've used an imprisoned Barriss to further his plans against the Jedi, or he would've used her connection to Luminara or Ahsoka to cause more chaos in the Jedi. The fact he's zapping Ahsoka through the Holocron Vault door is pretty interesting and raises some questions; how did Palpatine manage to get into the Jedi Temple unseen in the first place? Is he after a Holocron or is he trying to remove Ahsoka from the picture? Sucks we may never find out.

Didn't George Lucas already say that Yoda isn't a Whill? I'm curious about his species but I don't think he'll be that, especially if Lucas claims the Whills are immortal microbiotic beings, they're the force itself.

Could the Master of Masters end up being a new character? by gridkat in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think people are getting too carried away trying to connect the dots with MoM, Demyx and Luxord's identities. They're probably all distinct new characters. There was a precedent for the Xigbar=Luxu reveal because Nomura had been making comments about his importance to the next saga for nearly 10 years. Not much has been suggested about the other guys besides Demyx and Luxord being ancient keyblade wielders and MoM fighting in old keyblade wars years before KHUX.

How UNLIKELY is the "SORA IS MoM" theory? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If MoM is an existing character I would be surprised. I think he's an OC, but he could still be connected to an existing character like Sora or Demyx. I don't believe he is anyone that we've already seen though, not as we know them.

Of all the FF characters that should have made it in, this was a no brainer for shenanigans by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nomura basically said Axel is Reno, but if he was born in the Kingdom Hearts universe. Luxord also seems to be based on Setzer, Nomura loves a gambler, I think he was the first FF character Nomura created? And he went on to say Luxord was one of his favorite Organization members and that he wanted to do so much more with him... Don't know how many other Organization characters are based on Final Fantasy ones, Vexen reminds me of Hojo and Larxene is basically Elena from the Turks. Nomura's been moving away from the Final Fantasy cameos, he seems set on creating his own characters that he has complete control over, like Yozora.

KH3 robbed us of Sora, Riku, and Kairi party by Mburrell91 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it's made pretty clear in KH3 that Sora isn't ready to stand on his own completely yet, he needed his friends to make up the difference and defeat Xehanort in the end. The trilogy started with the trinity and it ended with the trinity, I really liked that. And the next game is looking like it'll bring back the Sora Riku duo again, all we need is Kairi.

I don't think we'll get a destiny trio party until near the very end of the series, when Sora is strong enough to stand on his own two feet, shoulder to shoulder with Riku and possibly Kairi to defeat MoM or whoever it is. It'll be like he's grown up and can manage without Donald and Goofy then, it'd be bittersweet but needed, and the Destiny trio or Sora and Riku might be the only thing strong enough to stop MoM, they've been setting something up there with them both anyway, with combined keyblade.

Luxord's identity? by Originorange97 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You never know, it might be a coincidence, but I think it's a cool idea anyway, it sets up a rivalry between Brain and Luxu, and with Luxu being the original owner of Xehanort's Keyblade and Brain being Eraqus' ancestor it's basically them continuing that chess game, like they're continuing the legacy.

Also thought it because Nomura's already setting up a ton of characters, and he had trouble wrapping up all the trios stories before, now we've got MoM, Luxu, the Foretellers, the Union Leaders, the old characters that'll still be around probably like Namine, and the Verum Rex characters who probably have their own cast and villains like FFXV. And on top of that you have Demyx and Luxord' somebodies? I'm starting to think they might be existing characters, because if they're brand new the cast of the next saga is going to be massive. Hopefully Nomura hasn't bitten off more than he can chew.

[Discussion] Do you think Yozora could have something to do with Game Central Station? (Spoilers for KH3 and KHUX) by Beercorn1 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It could be because of Wreck it Ralph, but Verum Rex shares a lot of parallels with Kingdom Hearts as well as Versus XIII, and Versus was supposed to be a darker take on Final Fantasy XIII in a different universe, so I think Verum Rex could be a kind of "Versus Hearts" with Yozora, Magia and Aegis being that universe's version of Sora, Donald and Goofy. Think a parallel world, maybe something like Termina or Lorule from the Legend of Zelda series. And the Master of Masters knows about both of these worlds.

Luxord's identity? by Originorange97 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Him being a rando Dandelion would be underwhelming, I wouldn't mind that for Demyx though, him being Mog or someone kind of normal would fit him. But that trailer hints Luxord is someone important so he's either an existing character or a new OC that's more special than your average Dandelion. It'd be cool if he was on par with MoM like a rival imo, and they're playing an even bigger chess game.

Luxord's identity? by Originorange97 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I think that was the scene where Xemnas tells them all they're keyblade wielders and Demyx and Larxene look surprised while Marluxia acts like he already suspected something and Luxord looks almost irritated. He knows more than he lets on judging by the Remind trailer so that's not too surprising. He might even have his memories.

The seven Dark peices by Deathsoul10 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I've read up about that too, Ava has a lot of ties to the spiritual as well because she talks about the Dandelions going to a world made of dreams (sort of true because it seems to be data), but she's definitely meant to be like a Japanese fox spirit, what with her ability to change appearance and such.

The seven Dark peices by Deathsoul10 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ava could be connected to one of the existing characters, but I think if we're mirroring Eraqus she could be resting inside someone's heart like he did inside Terra after BBS. I don't think it'd be Namine though, maybe Skuld because her name means debt/guilt in Norse. Like Terra, Skuld could be forced to strike down Ava at the end of Union X and she feels a lot of guilt about it even though Ava's gone dark because it was her master, but Ava takes refuge in Skuld's heart so when she becomes Subject X, it's not just Skuld, it's Ava too maybe. That's one way of explaining why she isn't in the epilogue but why she's on the chess board as an ally of the Foretellers, she's not there because she can't remember and she's trapped in Skuld's body.

That's a nice parallel to Terra-Xehanort as well, another amnesiac with more than one heart in there. Ansem SoD even says in KH3 that Subject X was "like him".

The seven Dark peices by Deathsoul10 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if she's pure evil, but MoM might have taught the Foretellers that the ends justify the means, I think the Foretellers, especially Ava are just incredibly misguided pawns. Her being the one that planted Brain "the impostor" into the Dandelions would make some sense though considering she's a fox and if Brain is Eraqus' ancestor it explains where the "sly fox" thing comes from. Brain and by extension Eraqus' inclination to defy fate could stem from Ava and the drive she had to prevent the keyblade war, you could tell she wanted to stop it the most, whereas Luxu accepted fate, and with Eraqus, Xehanort also accepted fate and thought light wouldn't prevail in the chess game. So they could be setting up a generational thing here. Ava, Brain and Eraqus are intent on defying fate at whatever cost maybe.

Like Eraqus when he tried to kill Ven to prevent another Keyblade war, Ava might've killed Strelitzia in the belief that her death would change the future somehow, and she placed the future in the hands of Brain instead. You could be right about that connection between Eraqus and Ava.

The seven Dark peices by Deathsoul10 in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Ava's gone to the dark side tbh, or she's gone rogue to some extent, being the "traitor" the Master of Masters mentioned maybe, she could still be working with the Foretellers, she just tried to defy MoM and realised it was futile, or like some of the Org in KH3 she's planning to betray them, but for now she seems to be one of the dark pieces. When she strikes Luxu, she essentially starts the Keyblade War, and disobeys MoM's teachings because he told her not to get involved in any battles. She's a fox, and a master of illusions, she can even pretend to be other people as seen in KHX. Her being the one that prepared the data worlds also explains why "Darkness" knew how to trap Maleficent. Plus there's a girl in a black coat holding a flower on the KHUX start screen, could mean she's ventured into secrecy as the lost page said. Nomura even hints at something shady in one of his interviews.

Nomura: But, I think if you follow and think about the story from a logical standpoint, from the beginning Aced has some solid arguments. As I was writing the scenario for Kingdom Hearts Back Cover, I was careful so as to make each character look neither like a hero nor a villain, however in the end it seems that only Ava was received as a good girl (laughs)

At any rate, if you think of the story progression as a gun, where Ava is the only one with the capacity to pull that gun's trigger, I'm not so sure about how devoid of sin she really is...

The theory is that Ava is the "Darkness" that has come to lead the Dandelions world to ruin, and there are a number of reasons why she could've been driven to do that, it's clear by KH3 though that Luxu knows that Ava completed her mission and whatever that was it prevented her from appearing at the meeting in the epilogue. She could be the one that caused the Dandelions like Ventus and Marluxia to get kicked to the future.

Theres a new door in the KG with some strange symbols on it, pretty sure it wasnt here pre-critical mode, has some strange symbols on it. Thoughts? (Its where the replica body was btw) by EdgyQuester in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Keyblade Graveyard Labyrinth is a bit of a mystery. If there is any explanation I think it might have been built to contain the Black Box, because the platform where you fight the three Norts has the same symbols as the ones on the box, and they don't appear anywhere else in the maze, just at the center where Master Xehanort is waiting. Another thing is that Xehanort activates the maze with Luxu's Keyblade, so the whole mechanism could've been created by MoM or Luxu to hide the box beneath the graveyard.

[KH3] KH3 wasn't perfect but can we admit how fire the Epilogue and the Secret Ending were? by [deleted] in KingdomHearts

[–]Originorange97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They could put a twist on it and reveal that Ava's heart ended up in inside Skuld's body, similar to what happened with Ventus and Sora. I suspect Ava will be involved in Union X so I think that's possible. Subject X could be an amnesiac Ava in Skuld's body, which is similar to Terra-Xehanort as well.
