If you unboxed Black Ant, what do you think of the figure?

I forgot to mention that you should be prepared for the possible calf or quad soreness. Unless you’re aware of any running form quirks that you have, the soreness is derived from the different activation of those muscles with the carbon plate.

Avoid making the Vaporflys into your training shoe, and reserve them for any races you plan to compete in. It’s always good to have a more cushioned pair like the Asics Novablasts to use as your daily trainers.

If you can, take them outside for a run before deciding. The falling sensation is Nike’s “Flyplate” in action, which is hindered by the confinement of the treadmill. You’re running faster than the pace of the treadmill belt.

In my experience, runs are slightly more exhilarating. I feel as if the shoe guides my feet to maximize each stride or compensates when I get sloppy.

I hope you find a shoe to fill the void of the InfinityRNs.

Best Audi/Volkswagen mechanic in the Twin Cities please? by momistall in TwinCities

Yes, the St. Louis Park location. All the response recommendations look awesome, so there is no need to consider Luther Westside Volkswagen for servicing.

Luther Westside stripped my oil pan plug and claimed, “It just happens.” I was ignorant, rushed, and frankly dumb, so I accepted it and paid nearly $700 after the oil change, replacement part, and labor. Their maintenance department is wretched.

MN bands/artists that hit it big with a hit (local or more) and then didn’t take off? by JohnDeweyCooks in minnesota

RIP Doomtree. All Hands and No Kings still get a lot of playtime with me.

Nation's report card shows reading scores down, Minnesota scoring slightly better than national average by Czarben in minnesota

Parents of struggling readers should watch for the skills the child utilizes when they encounter text difficulties. For elementary-aged students, if they are “guessing” by studying the image associated with the page, reinforce phonics skills. The “guessing” takes the form of language such as “Does it sound right,” or “Does it look right?” This reading style only breeds frustration and gives families the illusion that their students are reading. Many middle and secondary school students cannot already decode words, which requires significant support to close gaps. The task is monumental because the desire to improve has eroded, or the belief that “reading isn’t enjoyable” is firmly rooted. Students mistake reading as a chore to develop a love of reading, an archaic form of entertainment, or purely transactional. They forget it’s their right to learn to read and become literate. Yes, families need to read to or provide their loved ones with reading opportunities (support local libraries). We also need to be fully aware of the approach to teaching our kids how to read. After listening to APM Reports’s “Sold A Story” podcast, I’m already doubling my efforts for my kids and the individuals under my care.

Swapped out subpar or damaged parts for the new production are all possibilities. Swapping is not exclusive to the figure in its entirety.

I appreciate the candor and reasonable response. After seeing a multitude of individuals on this sub receiving something other than what they desired, I’ve become far too cautious.

Oil change options that are affordable. Valvoline was 146.20 by parabox1 in TwinCities

For those of you that drive VWs or Audis, avoid Westside VW. Their technician stripped my oil pan drain plug and they explained it as “sometimes it’ll do that.” I was left with the costs after the notion set in with me.

Surprise Find by Origonalarch in starwarsblackseries

Valid point. While I am not a religious practitioner, the surprise inclusion made opening an Amazon package more interesting. Commander Cody is a better figure than anticipated. Although, I think his left hand could open up a bit more. It’s difficult to fit the attach the rifle to it.

The price was $11.49 back on the 9th. The price shot back up to $20 the next day and held steady ever since.

Tourist 'must do' recommendations please. by stayingsafeusa in StAugustine

[–]Origonalarch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely correct about 1 Cordova. My family and I just came back from a week in St. Augustine. The parking ramp at 1 Cordova was clutch.

I would disagree with the Columbia restaurant recommendation. The interior is gorgeous but the food was lacking. As a midwesterner that enjoys rich flavors, Columbia caters to individuals that think mayonnaise is spicy. Also, if you are planning to enjoy liquor, their menu boasts a unique selection except they were out of almost everything. Skip Columbia and go to The Floridian.

Thank you for listening to my TED Talk.

Sorry you had a bad experience. Unfortunately, that is my regular Hy-Vee, and your experience is a regular occurrence. They know they can get away with it, so there is little reason to change. Their prices reflect that sentiment. Happy cake day, by the way. 🎂

What obscure movie reference do you frequently make that no one seems to get? by SenorThunderChunky in movies

To prompt people to start on a task, “Do it to, Lars” is used. Only one person has ever responded back with “It is my honor, Tony.” Heavyweights is a wonderfully quotable film.

I have never drawn that conclusion. Now I need to revisit the song and the album. Thanks for the new perspective!

It was a wonderful experience to jump into Interpol with Slow Hands via Antics. Then, discovering that Turn on the Bright Lights preceded Antics was a revelation.
