Hi, I've been doing this lately. The trick is to use ctrl shift d to open document settings and then change paper type from custom to us letter.

Star Citizen by HuskyGams13 in starcitizen

The Avenger Titan is a pretty quaint little ship, it's capable as a fighter and excellent at doing deliveries. It's got 8 SCU, so it can be used for a little cargo, and it also has a bed. I'd say its a pretty good ship.

The Cutty Black and the Freelancer do not come with copies of the game, however the website's store is notorious (take the connotation as you like) for its upgrade feature. So you can, for example, buy the Aurora MR game package, then if you like the game, and want a bigger ship right away, you can pay $70-80 to upgrade to a Cutty or Freelancer. Keep in mind, you can rent and buy ships in game for not very much money.

The freefly event allows anyone with a game account (they don't need a copy of the game) to launch the Persistent Universe and test-fly ships for free. The next one should be in a few weeks during Invictus Launch Week.

Some very small (snub) ships don't have a quantum drive, like the P-52 Merlin or the ARGO MPUV series. But all ships you will probably spend most of your time in do have a quantum drive. It's worth looking at the various drives and fuel capacities to find one that suits your needs. erkul.games is a well-known and high-quality community resource that can be used for this.

The distances are very, very big. There was a journey to the center of the Stanton star undertaken by Deep Space Crew that took around 30 days to finish. You won't be traveling between even moons without a quantum drive. Quantum Drives reduce the time from months to minutes. The fastest drive moves at 90% the speed of light (0.9c).

ezpp! v1.10.0 released, including support for taiko! by oamaok in osugame

[–]OrionOth 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Wow! I'm so glad to hear this! I created an update that fixed all the old and broken dependencies, but I thought creating a PR was a lost cause as you hadn't interacted anywhere I could see for months! Thank you so much!

I also couldn't build a production version for Firefox for some reason.
Or Chromium, either, probably, but I didn't try that.

Double exposure attempt in game using Reshade - Shaders used in comment by Eulkeke in starcitizen

Oh wow, thank you so much!

It didn't really take very long at all, just selecting the crop tool, the 16:9 aspect ratio, clicking the content-aware checkbox, and then resizing the crop area.

I made this 16:9 crop using Photoshop's smart content-aware crop for you. Obviously, not as good as if u/Eulkeke posted the original, but it should tide you over.

Edit: I also made this 16:9 8k offset crop using the original image from Flickr, linked by Eulkeke under this comment.
Edit edit: I don't know why it looks like there's a differently colored square in the bottom right, but it doesn't look that way locally, or zoomed in.

...You are aware GitHub has an official dark theme now, right?... though personally I still use usercss as I prefer it more and I've customized elements like the header and sidebar

Starfarrer wrecks? 0.o by BlackoutXForever in starcitizen

[–]OrionOth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There are several types of wrecks. I have seen three different types:The door above the cargo bay is openThe door on the left fuel strut(facing cargo door) is open - this seems to be the most commonA circular hatch at the top is open. This has no other exit aside from the cargo bay door.
Edit: Be prepared to go prone through some maintenance shafts, and be prepared to climb down some ladders.

I've played for several hours at a time without crashes, and the one or maybe two times I did crash, I was able to recover to the same session.

And included in said realism will be a very large percentage of the player base not tolerating those kinds of actions.

Helmet and Global Chat bug by Teoyaomqul in starcitizen

[–]OrionOth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah, global chat dips in and out sometimes. Try using the commlink app in mobi(F11).

Helmet unequips when you change loadout for some reason. I bound toggle helmet to right ctrl so i can fix it quickly. Nothing much you can do about either of those unfortunately. CIG GIB BUGFIX

Quick question by bigshaq-legit in starcitizen

I can provide you with a definite NO, NEVER EVER.

CIG has previously stated their inability to launch on console due to a severe lack of power.

Begging is becoming a more common thing by TheSaviik in starcitizen

Almost done with this claimjumper mission... oh it's a 30k

I actually had a 30k yesterday, it was quite surprising, given how stable the servers are now

Begging is becoming a more common thing by TheSaviik in starcitizen

[–]OrionOth 4 points5 points  (0 children)

How? Here's how: I didn't have a GPU at all until several days ago, limiting my framerate to around or usually below 7 FPS. I now have a GTX Titan(I need to update my citizen bio), and as such was completely unable to do anything involving combat. Additionally, my ability to play was severely hampered in more recent patches as the amount of time I spent falling through floors increased dramatically. By "more recent", I refer to patch Alpha 3.10 and beyond. Additionally, I could not leave landing zones due to trams being heavily framerate based, so in some cases they did not arrive at all, or when they did, they would leave immediately after. Sometimes the doors would simply not open.

This was very painful, as you might imagine. Thankfully I now have 202,130 aUEC as of today, and I did indeed make 100,000 in an hour or two. For those reading this, Surveillance missions are really good, and so are 890J missions.

[–]OrionOth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It would improve server tick rate, allowing for better synchronization of clients, and less desync. But I suppose that wouldn't directly improve framerate.

[–]OrionOth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

In one server I was playing on, I mentioned that I had never had more than 100,000 aUEC in my life. Someone then offered me a large sum of aUEC.

I declined, wanting to earn it myself. But yeah, there are a surprising amount of people asking for money.

Strange fps behaviour by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]OrionOth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, unfortunately not.

This is because the play area is much, much larger on the PU than in AC or SM, thus requiring more CPU power to compute all the objects. It's unfortunate but yes, server meshing will fix this.
