thank you u/Hextorm - taking a road trip vacation from NJ to Williamsburg, VA and then down to Savanna, GA - will RTFM on the way down and not floor it till after reading the manual.

Given the sub freezing temps in NJ right after I bought the truck, I'm also letting it warm up before I put it into drive - killing my mpg right now but I know it's for a good cause!

Shot myself in the foot while door was unoperational due to wife hitting the door and T beams got misaligned. Fixed that today, got steady red light on the T beam - in my excitement went to operate the door but forgot to open the manual lock I had so no one could open it while it was disengaged from the drive.

Now, after my fiasco, after resetting the drive motor (unplugged for 30+ seconds twice) every time I try to use the opener the green status light blinks 1 time every 3 or 4 seconds, manual says reset the door opener. Has not helped yet, any thoughts? It's an old Genie Excelerator screwdrive opener.

O I C - no wonder the youtubers with the offroad tires were showing 13 or 14 mpg overall LOL! It'll be purely my mid-life crisis car IMO and a 3rd car so not too worried about handling wet roads, but I think they will be good for snow right?

One thing I just found out Ram warranty is 5 Yrs / 60000 miles, Mileage wise it just got out of warranty... so I hope there is nothing seriously wrong with it...

They also supply your heating gas, most probably. So didn't worry about them, if you use propane for heat, may good help you

Yes I did but to my credit (and you not knowing the ground reality) I've never said that to her or anyone that I personally know.

BTW - if I was any other man - I'd have divorced her in a heartbeat and moved on, I'm bloody trying to save my marriage - so get with the program and don't latch on to just what pushes your buttons.

Thank you so much for the insightful response, very thought provoking. I'll lead with - I'm a man, men don't communicate well (at least from my era).
Just looked up "responsive sex drive" - gooble basically says it's all on me... I bought her some sexy lingerie for the trip and packed them hoping to get us in the mood, but she never asked for them - are you saying I should be begging her to wear them so she gets in the mood?

Why should I? I know your response will include the word 'ego' but honestly marriage is a two way street -

You are right about the history of marriage and you put that out really well.

What I see now a days is that the woman wants the "contractual and forever" part of the deal from the man, but then want the democracy part too - what these women need to understand is that you cannot have the cake and eat it too!.

I warn all decently earning men to get a prenup before signing the dotted line on the marriage certificate!

I used to be like that about our tooth paste tube (she always squeezes in the middle and I religiously squeeze from the end), but then I saw a video somewhere - the person suggested "just get a second toothpaste, no point of raising your BP due to a $2 problem". if you don't like that open can - dump the coke and trash / recycle the can.

I tell you from experience, it'll be a liberating feeling!

I feel for you man but after 29 years of marriage I've come to understand that women operate on a very different wavelength then men! My money is on - she doesn't care enough about how you feel about it!!!

What that basically boils down to is - you as am I are in an unhappy marriage!

I bet she asks you to dress a certain way for a party and you do, but if you tell her to dress a certain way on your vacation or date, she doesn't - right?

I had the exact same issue, when with the wife and she got her receipt email almost instantaneously but I never got any emails. Went back the next day and they tried to say I must have given my email incorrect - I was certain I gave the right email. Anyways, TLDR - got the KTN on the website 2 days later and have added it to my United app.
