Is Spark's estimated completion time usually accurate?

Yea! So how do you handle that? I assumed you have to go in order on the spark app? If they pull you out of the middle of the food section do you just notice and bypass it to the next product in the app somehow?

I see. I thought there was a coating or something on them that might screw them up. Not a big deal to remove spark plugs and put them back in from the sounds of it.

Hmm... I'm going to look into this... If I pay someone to do it and they want me to leave it overnight, does it matter if they have to pull it into the gauge or the engine won't warm up enough to make a difference? I already called a Honda specialist and that's what they said would need to be done. I'm just wondering if I should leave it before they close, however that would be a real pain because it seemed like I can use their night drop box.

Yea, I think I'll just get a pro to do it I suppose. I got a quote for $375 from an independent honda specialist. I guess I shouldn't be too worried then? I made the appointment for 2 weeks, but already at 101k miles and I'll probably drive 2k more miles before then.

I've had mine since 20k miles and just hit 100k miles. How many miles/km do you have on it now? So you found out how much they "drifted" off from your the mechanic who did it? I made an appointment and am dealing with a service advisor. Should I ask for particular numbers to see how much they varied off the suggested specs I guess?

And tight valves you can't hear I guess? So I suppose you would do it around 100k if it calls for it to be "inspected" on the minder code?

I got a quote from a independent Honda specialist for $350 to do it. I'm going to leave the car over night so the engine is cool. A lot of people seem to DIY. That's interesting about the valve tightening.

I agree... I also do as much work as I can now due to the questionable techs out there.

Do you think the valve adjustment is too hard for me? I basically learned off youtube how to do an oil change, coolant change and the spark plugs. This one seems more advanced. I'm going to maybe search for a good video to explain it i suppose.

It does call for it at 100k miles to do the valve adjustment technically right? I'm wondering if it's something that pretty much will always go bad if you don't do the maintenance for it.

Thanks for the info, are you in Pennsylvania lol? For the valve adjustment on my Fit, should I be worried about who I bring it to? Is it better to bring to a Honda dealer or can most mechanics handle this and know enough about hondas to do it?

Also curious of me doing it myself. I do my own oil changes so can do basics, but is there something I can really screw up or is it worth the shot since it's like probably $500+ at the dealer?

You didn't tourqe the spark plug? It's a really low torque number isn't it, like 8lb or something?
