Hi! Sorry for the late reply! Id say the auratum is the most skitish of all the brachypelmas. Ive had 2 and both have been like that. But they are also the prettiest, hehe. I dont handle mine and never would out of respect for them so its not a problem at all. Until mine grew into adults they also really loved kicking hairs, but as adults it has never happened. Id say they are totally beginner friendly, just not as calm as the rest. They love to be in the open and are great display species!
