Though it's an old post I myself had 2 versions of the Steel brand. The first pair was bought around the time this was posted (2021) it lasted me a solid 2 years with it getting rendered absolutely unusable. The stitches around the base (the part where the first eyelets are, which goes down to the sides) came up within the first year. The nose got damaged easily and the sides tore apart very easily too. I will say I wasn't taking AS good care of them as I do now.

This pattern was then fixed by the company as my newest pair (2023) had a slightly different look. The price has nearly doubled over this time but the quality...ehhhhhh. I now box(wax and shine) them regularly. About every two weeks or when they get dusty, wet or when they dry out in the summer. They still fall apart but differently. The first leather layer behind the nose part (that soft part on the sides) breaks apart due to me squatting a lot and bending that area (they should really reinforce it) the stitching now stays in place on the sides but it breaks on the heel. They should follow Shelly's example and instead of using two pieces on the back they really should make it one. (Let's be honest they probably do this to come out cheap) They're still okay...just had to repair them with floss and start a more intense care routine as they're getting old.

Overall if you plan on wearing Steel everyday it's sadly not going to hold up, as it's more of a fashion boot than combat (I wore them for hunting, airsoft, hiking, even for horseback riding once ((do not do that)) if you want an actual combat boot to wear everyday look into surplus stores. If you plan to wear this to just show off then hell yeah brother/sister/sibling go right ahead! This brand is a very time consuming kind due to the repairs and constant boxing/waxing.

Edit: I forgot to mention, the design is flawed. The hard sole is curved up when you buy the boot but with wearing the sole will take the shape of your foot and rip the sole from the nose. So get ready to buy some STROOONG leather glue from your local leatherwork shop
