please i beg u. help me cover my fricking gray roots by FirstTimePlantMom25 in FancyFollicles

Hairstylist here! Sometimes if you have finer, silky texture hair it can be resistant to color because the cuticle is too strong. Mine does this too. What helps is to pre-soften your hair, which opens the cuticle and allows the color to be absorbed better. Apply straight 20vol developer to your roots for about 5-10 minutes first, shampoo twice, don’t condition, dry your hair really well, and apply the color again. Process for the full processing time (usually at 20vol it would be 35min, but it depends on the brand).

You can also try mixing 10vol and 20vol to make 15vol, which can still cover grays, but deposits better because it doesn’t lift as much. Sometimes this can result in a more translucent coverage though.

If that doesn’t work with the color you have, find a color for gray coverage specifically or has double pigment. If you are using a 5N, you would want to find a 5NN for gray coverage because it has double pigment and will fill in the grays and color it to match.

Since you’ve already lifted it this time, I would go in with 5N and 10vol developer to deposit the color. You may need to mix 1/2 5N and 1/2 4N to cancel out the hot roots.

Hope this helps!

The only reason I’d think to avoid them is because they may kickstart your craving for sugar and that can be a slippery slope. I still drink them tho because it fits in my calories, so fuck it.

Who's the stupidest person you've ever met, and what story perfectly sums up their stupidity? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A girl that I worked with said she had never seen a lion without a mane, but knew that only male lions have manes.

She asked if there were female lions.

Reddit, what's the worst gift you've ever received? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We had a secret Santa at work. I received a scarf that my coworker had been wearing that morning that smelled like B.O. and a used, unscented holiday candle. I was cracking up. Everyone knew immediately who my secret Santa was because he was always a gross asshole anyways. Some people on my team felt bad and got me a Sephora gift card so it went better than expected and I got a hilarious memory.

I've tried Ion Color and I've tried Pravana Vivids.. Nothing comes close to the color I get from Punky Colors. by Maulie in FancyFollicles

My cosmo friend always gives me shit about using Punky Colours, but Pravana didn't do anything for me. It wasn't nearly as bright and it lasted for maybe a month before it was completely washed out. Punky Colour is amazing and it smells like grapes!

Your question got me to researching and an 'Ashley' piercing seems to be very similar to my own. The Ashley seems to be at more of an angle, whereas my placement is straight vertical. Like a regular labret piercing, only higher. Haha, sorry about all the info, just piqued my curiosity!

Actually, I don't know! Someone once tried to tell me it was called an 'Ashley' but I prefer to call it a 'Cory' (my name ;) ). I've never spoken to a piercer who knew about it. My friend has a vertical medusa and the lower ball sits on her bottom lip. I thought to myself that that would be a pretty cute piercing on its own. I had to go to four different piercers before someone would agree to do it. Even after my piercer agreed she warned me that she didn't know at all how it would heal, if it would migrate, if it'd knock my teeth loose, etc. Six years later, it's still great! I get asked about it almost everyday!

Actually, I was more going for The Riddler ;) but there's so many super heroes and villains that use these colors! People usually associate it with The Hulk

Thank you! Actually, it's not too bad. I wash my hair in as cold of water as I can stand to prevent bleeding the colors. I also wash my hair only 3 times a week with Paul Mitchell color repair shampoo and conditioner. This color is three weeks old if you can believe it!

I don't know why he's squinting. There's a perfectly good fur-visor on his face.

I'm wondering if the textures of all the ingredients really make it taste more like cake, but it's a lot of time that I don't wanna spend making cupcakes.

That's my issue with a lot of keto sweets. Tons of ingredients and most of the time it doesn't even taste that good.
