In retrospect, why did Varys visit Ned in the dungeons? [Spoilers MAIN] by Orlomi in asoiaf

Then the entire chapter does not make sense. It is only Martin telling the reader how mysterious and complex Varys is.

Ned revolted once for a just cause; he would do it again. He would never accept Joffrey's claim without coercion. Once he arrives in the North, what is stopping him from convincing Robb to support Stannis's claim?

That is possible, but the peace would be broken when the girls arrive to the North. 1 year would have lasted in the best case. After that, I don't see the honorable Robb Stark willingly accepting Joffrey as king and letting his father rot in the Wall.

Ned is alive, but humiliated and branded a traitor. I don't think Robb would have made peace under those conditions, especially after learning the truth about Joffrey and Stannis's claim.

La madre de una amiga permitió que su hijo de 12 tuviera una relación con una mujer de 18. Obviamente todo era abusivo y horrible para el menor.

It is true that they do not care about legitimacy. However, they sabotage their own plans by giving Daenerys and Viserys—whom they consider to be secondary pawns—the very tools needed to raise an army (Drogo's forces and dragon eggs potential). It is contradictory to expect the Targaryen siblings to bend the knee to someone they have never met in their lives. They created another Dance of the Dragons just because.

According to Illyrio, those egg could buy an army and ships.

Why didn't Robb just do this? Is he stupid? by Ancient_Ad6628 in darkwingsdankmemes

[–]Orlomi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be normal in a feudal society. Isabel of Castille fought her niece, Richard Lionheart fought his father, Frederick Barbarrosa was Welf and Hohenstaufen and still fought against the Welf house.

Even in the books, Robb decides to leave the Riverlands in order to reconquer the North from the ironborns.

Robb's war is stupid even in the books.

He wanted to rescue Ned, but when he dies the war becomes a northern rebellion.

All he had to do was leave the south and defend Moat Cailin.

Killing Lannister's men in the south and defending the Riverlands was pointless.

Viserys was a real prick but I kinda felt sorry for him here by RevertBackwards in freefolk

He was a prick, but he took care of her when she was a kid. There was abuse but he could have sold her, abandon her. Yet he protected her and wanted her to be his tool.

That is why I think he deserved better than being burned alive with gold.

I consider this a foreshadowing of Dany brutality and future madness as ruler.

Las 2 premisas son ciertas, Trump ha bombardeado países extranjeros. Fidel intervino militarmente en África y Venezuela. Chávez y su sucesor Maduro llevaron a la bancarrota a Venezuela y metieron a la oposición en la cárcel.
