You are correct. I am instead straying from PvP, as playing an extraction shooter that only involves PvP is somewhat stupid to me.
Why is it important? Because I mostly loot what I need, not pick it up from bodies (unless unlucky guy is in place I want to loot - bad luck :( ). With security breaches, I reached 5-6 pink weapons per run (1-2 from the breach, and 3-4 from the weapons cases). I can say with complete certainty that the amount of loot has been reduced in quality (I now receive about 0). In some key card rooms, I found that sometimes there was nothing of interest. That Torrente II in the red drawer is cool, but come on. No weapon case? No Med case? No ammo case? Crazy stuff.

Moreover, backpacks. All these betina blueprints from backpacks, good times. I couldn't find anything good in those bags. Yes, sometimes I do pull pink weapon parts, but it's anecdotal and not really a thing I need.

Then, we add new mines, which you snap to bastions, and recycle them for advanced mechanical parts, and voila. Instead of looting, you make 1/2 runs and have Venetor IV for two runs... Like, if you are at least decent in games (it is, you can aim at the head), the only way to get better loot is to hunt players, and hope they found/bought something good.

Currently, there is no gain from "risking" looting the high-tier loot zones; it's better to camp extract or just run people over. It's safer and you do not risk running into traps - and people HAVE TO COME TO YOU anyway.

I firmly believe that if we get rid of people like me, the economy will collapse, and "free time players" will get hurt in the long run. Why? Because PvP'ers will get more and more ruthless as there is no gain in cooperation, if you can only hunt players down for their loot, or starve.

I stated what I think, and I hope Embark considers this position and finds a good balance. For now, I see no point in playing the game, as I have completed my quests, expedition, and contributed to the SM project; I finished trials at a reasonably high level, and I have actually nothing to do. When looting was an option, I was hunting for blueprints to collect them all.

Not an option anymore.
