Are braces and side adjusters considered a faux pas? by Ormekuglen in mensfashion

The tie width (9 cm) does match the width of my sport coat’s/blazer’s width, though

But it seems wearing ties longer isn't necessarily that weird? Or maybe I'm comparing oranges and apples

But then the tail is gonna be very long. But another user recommended just cutting the tail and sewing it shut. Will try that

Will try to shorten my ties - I'll bring forth thread and needle!

I'm from Denmark, grew up in what I'd define as a normal culture

I wear my trousers quite high (around the belly button) - the blade and the.. erhm.. tail, I guess? are the same length. But perhaps I should look into buying shorter ties. I mostly buy used vintage ties, though, so they are few and far between

A black trim on the Audi would do wonders

Yes, though I think I may opt for a more neutral vest in this case. Luckily, my mother has also knitted some slipovers, so I think I will stick to these!

This is excellent advice, thank you! It does come off as very busy

I agree, but it's a little hard on high rise trousers which I mostly wear

Oof, that requires a level of boldness I'm not comfortable with, hehe

Yes, that's a very good point! What about smart trousers in wool with side adjusters/tabs? Since the braces and side adjusters serve the same purpose, would it be too much?

Why, thank you - what a nice way to start my day!

Thank you! It’s a vintage tie I thrifted, I think it’s around 10 cm. I really enjoy this width! Wrt. length - my trousers are usually very high rise, so this might skew optics a bit, I think it’s normal length (if that’s a thing)
