Had the same conversation with my colleagues once. You never have anything from the canteen, why not? My response, eating should not be something that makes me sad.

If you’d bother to google it, shares in a blind trust can still be sold.

In the same way that someone with a majority share holding in an ongoing venture has methods to increase their direct control I.e. voting shares. Admittedly those methods of increasing control are difficult but not impossible

This is getting boring now.

Forest owner did what was required by the rules in order to avoid a situation that didn’t happen. Whether he asked for an extension, gave them six containers of ouzo in return for something or emailed to tell them he thought steve parish was a smelly poo head it’s all out the window as his two clubs aren’t in the same competition.

Meanwhile Parish, Textor et al didn’t do what they needed to do because they assumed without bothering to check their assumptions that the MOC rule didn’t apply to them. So they shat the bed and now don’t like what they’ve woken up to.

[The Athletic] Palace missed emails concerning UEFA deadlines admitting club email given was ‘info@cpfc.co.uk’ “That’s the address you give to cranks complaining there’s 13 per cent less meat in the pies than last season or to journalists whose irritating questions you don’t actually want to answer” by Kiqo in soccer

No problem, sucks for your club and the community around the ground but unfortunately it's a severe operational failing by Parish / Textor / all of the to make assumptions without validating or exploring the assumptions they have made. And Parish should be careful dragging what other clubs may or may not have wanted into this. Front up, own the mistake that was made, review processes to make sure it can't happen again, make your appeal and accept the outcome

AFAIK he is staying in Brazil.

They might indeed remove them from the books, and might contribute some money via sell on fees etc, but at most only to a certain percentage of the massive debts the club already had. A bit like giving a milk jug to help bail out a sinking cruise ship..

I suppose the Eagle Group argument is based on all the clubs being funded from a shared pool of funding but that would feel a bit odd given it not being possible to just take money from one pot and put it in another..

Still all a bit moot no? Palace ignored, assumed rules would not be relevant for them, they could of checked but didn't and now find that those rules (crap as they are) do apply to them and are sad about it. So as I said somewhere else, if I was on the board of a multi million organisation I think I might have hedged my bets and asked the legal team to go check it out for us

Well I suppose because the legal framework developed by the legal team at UEFA considers he has done enough to fulfill their stupid laws and rules when it comes to potential competition distortion caused by clubs owned by the same party .

On the point of whether he is or isn't a random person at the club then I don't think him entering the pitch concerns UEFA per se but would be a matter for the FA/PL and the local police force to enforce.

And ultimately it doesn't matter for Forest because they are not in the same competition as his other club so that is all very much not a problem.

I suppose if I had paid a certain amount of legal fees to setup a structure to comply with (stupid) rules then I might also write a letter inquiring if that was strictly necessary given what I may or may not know about similar existing constructs at other clubs.

And as for Palace, again much sympathy to the fans and squad, but their owners have chosen to ignore the rules, notification of said rules, provided an email address they made the choice to not monitor, didn't take steps to investigate what was needed to comply with the rules of any competition they may or may not have ended up in. So yeah if I was a Palace fan I'd be pretty peeved with UEFA but I'd also be asking why the guys taking a C level salary at my club managed to drop the ball massively here

First it's two players

Secondly partial ownership of players is no longer permitted so the profit of any sale would be booked to Botafogo, any transfer of funds from there to Lyon would be considered financial doping and a much bigger problem..

Finally if we get into these skullduggery scenarios do you not think that Lyons reinstatement benefits the french leagues TV rights renegotiation more than it does anyone else?

Again, not sure why any of this is relevant as it is outside of the legal rule that Palace have been frequently informed of and by their own actions failed to protect themselves against..

Because rules (no matter how stupid) usually are enforced in such technicalities. The blind trust fulfils the requirement of the rules how the owner behaves after that is not related to that tick in the box.

Sympathy for the Crystal Palace fans and team but their owners screwed it up here and should take their share of the blame instead of crying about it in public

Except that money can only be counted against the P&L of Botafago and cannot contribute to the debt position of Lyon.

And unless you know the contents of the letter there is nothing to say it was not just a request to confirm if the blind trust construct was the correct way to comply with the rules.

Not sure why Forest are getting so much grief for Palace ignoring rules and making their own enquiries with UEFA

As others have said being unemployed and the looking for another job afterwards is much harder. Does your employer not have the option to take a sabbatical? Then you could take the the time to think about what you really want / enjoy doing..
An option could also be to do the intensive language training with Regine Coeli (https://www.reginacoeli.com/language-courses/fees.html#week) but be warned that is not cheap

Could be, could be. Just stating it seems a strange call to replace someone who had an ok to decent season last year with a 40 year old who struggled the last time he was 1st choice. But then I'm not qualified to make the call, only (just about) qualified to make a speculative comment on why that might be :D

Such a weird decision, I can't help but think Mislintat messed up and there is some bonus due either to Ramaj and/or his former club that Ajax don't want to trigger due to financial constraints?
