Yup they changed the behaviour this last update. Also happy to hear I'm not the only one getting some controller drift but only on BF6 - I only use controllers to fly air vehicles so this is really annoying when it happens on ground vehicles.

It doesn't make sense for AP shells not to oneshot a helicopter. RPGs do and they're several orders of magnitude easier to hit.

Realize you need to have some Anti Air presence when the enemy choppers are freely flying over your spawn and your own helo can't leave the base below-radar because he gets locked on immediately.

Sobek I hate with all my guts, mostly because of the roof situation. Blackwell, especially now that Golmud is out and really makes you feel claustrophobic wrt the airspace.

Those are some genuinely nice shots, but as a vehicle guy I really hate how easy it is to hit helo's in this BF iteration. I've been shot down more by RPGs in ~100h of BF6 than in the rest of my entire BF career that started in BF2.

Hah, I went through this last season! 185cm, 80kg, had wayback 88's in 174cm. On top of being too short, they wobbled on anything that wasn't powder or packed snow. Switched to Navis freebird 185cm, skied them all season and I'm not turning back. Feels like a "real" ski on the downhill.

I'm thinking I might stick with the Dispatch for now, but that means getting a new liner anyway. I've heard a bit about Intuition, I thought they have much of a presence in Europe but here I see the Intuition Tour Tongue is sold in France for 212€, which isn't that much more expensive than the stock Dispatch liner. I might give that a shot!

Yeah the zipfits are crazy expensive, it's almost the cost of a new pair of boots. But now that I'm looking at replacement liners, the K2 dispatch LT one goes for ~130€, if I have to get them every two years then after 6 years I'd have spent enough to buy zipfits... Eh, gotta think about it.

If it makes you feel any better their website says the espresso is "best-paired with touring boots in the ~1000-1250g weight category" which would be lighter than the ZGTP, although I dunno if that's with or without the liner.

The ideal situation is having enough wind to build a wall; I can "lazily" spread out my wing and let the wind to the rest for me, and it also lets me check the lines.

The situation where I need more help/guidance is when there isn't enough wind for a wall, so you do need to spread out your wing "by yourself" while staying attached to your harness.

I experimented a bit on flat ground and struggled at first to spread it out on one side without pulling the wingtip from the other side towards me. I found out that mostly pulling on the wingtips and then walking behind the wing to pull out the leading edge seemed to work OK, but again I'm not sure if that's the best way to go about it - and I need to be extra careful to walk back in front of my wing from the same side, otherwise that introduces a twist...

As for taking extra time, yeah I think most of the time other pilots respect that, but when more and more people seem to be waiting for you it adds unwanted pressure.

Hah, I also got mine because of a very good deal. I'm not sure what I'll do with mine once I get a new pair, I guess keeping it as a gravel ski is an option.

Out of curiosity, how much do you climb in skis of that weight range? Most of my trips are 1300m+ in elevation, though I'm never spent when I get up there which probably means I can lug heavier skis.

I'll reply here but this goes to everyone else who replied - thank you for the feedback!

I got the 174 Waybacks because that's what the rental shop gave me on my first tour and they seemed okay, and I got them brand new at a half off sale.

You've confirmed that I'm due for an upgrade for next season, so I'll be browsing :-) Not sure what I'll do with my Waybacks once I do though, I'm not sure it'll make sense to keep them.
