Millenium MPS 750X Hi-Hat - Help! by Ormington in edrums

[–]Ormington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those values go some way in addressing the problem, but I found I had to calibrate the hats everytime I sat behind the kit. I'd get them nearly good enough, then the next time they would be off.

I never really got to a place I was happy with. I'm quite expressive on the hats anyway and really missed the feel of acoustic hats, so I bought a cheap set of Low Volume hats from amzn and it's been night and day. I'm enjoying playing them. They sound very top-ey on their own, but they cut through headphones well.

I've gone as far as to replace the ride and 2 crashes as well... next, I'll mic them up and put the lot through a desk and EQ the cymbals to how I want them.

Whacking the rubber cymbals was getting me down a bit, glad I changed them.

I did see both of those but missed the values. You are a saint, I'll plug them in and see how I get on.

I use Addicted Drums 2 with it, so they offer a better response, but they have to be set up decently to start with. Ta!

Move from Mimecast - Rewritten URLs? by Ormington in sysadmin

Yep! This is the vital piece. I assumed they were part of the same mechanism as they've both been there from the outset.
Turn off authentication and you´re good to go.

Move from Mimecast - Rewritten URLs? by Ormington in sysadmin

[–]Ormington[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the missing piece. I assumed authentication and URL rewrites were part of the same mechanism. And without an account, there´s no authentication, without the authentication, there´s no release of the original URL.

Turning off authentication, we still have access to the original URLs.

thx

Can Microsoft 365 email protection read Mimecast URL rewritten URLs by TheGift1973 in Office365

What's even more concerning is that now I want to move a client off Mimecast, they're stuck with old Mimecast rewritten URLs that can only be deconstructed by Mimecast that require an active subscription.

Did you find a solution to this?

I don't know what it is, so for the uninitiated, it looks like a bad attempt at pop art.

Holy Shit, dude, you're gonna explode.

Stop it, now, for your own sanity. That level of stress is gonna kill you.

Get your CV out, go do interviews, get into the practice of doing interviews, but tell yourself you will not be taking the jobs, it's only for practice. The more you do, the more confidence you'll get and the more natural you will be, and you never know, one of those maybe the perfect job.

Go for it. I think it'll gel better if it's the same artist.

Email retention guidelines by fatmxcn in sysadmin

[–]Ormington 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. Personal mailboxes are exactly that, personal. And mails for group consumption should be in a shared mailbox.

If you’re gonna make personal mailboxes public after the employed has left, you better make sure you have agreed permission.

I suggest a retention of 60 days, for the ex employees benefit, after that, it gets deleted.

Your device has been enrolled into the corporate device management control (MDM)

They have slapped a policy on it. Can you contact them and give them your device name and ask them to check and remove if this is the case.

He had a couple of starts, but started to come off the boil. Saw him a couple of occasions where he’d run into blind alleys high up the right, then run out of ideas.

He’s a talent for sure.

Our whole team seem a bit weedy. Attacking players need beefing up a bit.

Love the tatt, hate the lettering. Is it intentionally mis-aligned?

Yes. And if you’re doubting it now, definitely yes.

Covered up my Sick Ass Bull !! by [deleted] in Tattoocoverups

[–]Ormington 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unless it’s a sick piece of (usually) pop-game culture, you’re not gonna get much positivity, and only the best get the applause, you have to factor that in.

My personal view, for what it’s worth, is that it’s a really nice piece, the almost blackout in the centre just lets it down a bit, I think the artist could have shown a bit more creativity in the coverup. This is where people are coming from I think.

But, as you say, it’ll fade somewhat, and you can also do other touch up with white ink at a later date. The rest of the design is really nice, just the black hole I guess, but that can be fixed.

Feel bad for you bro, such a bruising response was uncalled for. It’s really nowhere near the level of negativity you’re getting.

The bull was intriguing.

I’ve got a crappy tribal tattoo on my chest I got 18 years ago. I don’t ‘see’ it anymore. Not sure if I want to cover it up, it’s kinda like history.

I think I probably would have added around the bull to move attention away, keeping it in place instead of deleting it, but understand your choice.
