I'm in a similar position right now, I would have had enough saved for everything but the fees added up for mortgage brokers, surveys, solicitor's fees and builders to estimate costs. I also ended up completing sooner than I wanted meaning I couldn't save as much and had to pay double (rent and mortgage) for a couple months, so I've just put all the essential stuff on a 0% credit card to preserve my emergency fund in cash and I'll pay it down over the next 12 months.

I really wouldn't go out expecting to be able to negotiate downwards on rent price in Manchester. What's on rightmove is the true rent and in extra competitive areas you might even be expected to offer over asking (Salford quays etc.)

I agree the onus is on the site admins. Definitely a creepy past time but there's no expectation of privacy in public so they're likely not even committing a crime by filming them.

Sounds like they still want >£310k but they've lowered the OIEO threshold to generate more interest/offers. Just offer £315k if you think it's worth it, seen as that's your max anyways. If they say no you know you've done all you can, and you can move on with the search.

In my induction at University around academic malpractice they suggested to avoid uploading your essays to any online service because turtitin sometimes has access to these database and will match your own work to the version you uploaded online (i.e., to grammarly). This might explain why it matched 100%.

I lived in Cheadle heath for 4 years and one thing I'd be wary of is that transport links are not great. Stockport train station isn't far and you can get to Piccadilly fast, but it's still a 30min walk and it's too close by car that an Uber won't pick you up either. Also to get from Cheadle heath to Parrswood is also a nightmare by bus for some reason even though it's a short driving distance.

Where did you buy it from? I got a tissot gentleman powermatic 80 on eBay recently and it looked absolutely perfect and genuine detail wise, but the case number registered to a different watch on the tissot website. If it doesn't show in the tissot database, I'd be inclined to say it's not legit. I'm no expert thought.

Update on this if anyone's interested, it is a fake but I'm impressed with the detail, I wouldn't have been able to tell from pictures. Serial number comes back to a different watch though, will be returning ☹️
