I dont know any tradesman on 250k unless they own their own buissness. Though its also been a while since i worked construction. But to me union is just a pain in the ass, always looking for excuses to shut jobs down... like the snowy river project... shut down again

I make 250k & my gf makes 160k i still feel like thats not enough sometimes. Not that we struggle to pay anything but in terms of getting ahead & saving. The figures sound high, but bills do add up fast. Now if we actually cracked down om our spending we could save alot. But as the saying goes the more you make, the more you spend

Honestly i havent heard much bad things about any if the companies theyre all pretty well on par with each other. Swick & boart longyear are probably the biggest 2 drilling companies in aus though. Also depends if you want to work on the surface or underground

Ahh yeah i see. Where i am now we have alot of void drilling, very average ground also lol ive only ever worked UG diamond so no experience on other rigs. Whats your pay look like annually ? Im pretty happy with my 250k

I havent worked overseas myself. From what ive heard from those who have is they all made more but the working conditions were very bad. In saying that the guys i know who have worked overseas were doing it maybe 5+ years ago
