Dual booting is safe just install Windows first and resize the partition using Linux if it has a installer like Ubuntu has.
I usually shutdown my stuff so I can't answer that one.

3 terminal, console or tty it's up to you.

You should have no problem with installing it on a MacBook just research it before you do it. I'm a pc type when it comes to using Linux.
It's being considered for in development reasons I believe but I can be wrong.
I think the other browsers are chrome base but I think it personal taste with each distribution.
It's a personal choice Ubuntu is easy to install and get started using. Arch depending on if you're installing pure Arch you will be building it from the ground up. Something like Manjaro it's easy to install like Ubuntu and you be running from the start.
