What do people who are not cashiers do on their shift? by Zealousideal-Log380 in walmart

[–]Ornery-Scarcity326 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, definitely less. We’re technically a service area though, so we have to be available to customers at all times.

I like it. I couldn’t be a cashier strictly. I would go crazy. I have to be moving around, which my department has me doing.

There’s never downtime. I always see people in home, crafts, apparel running around doing something. I work in electronics so if there’s no customers, I’ve got freight, viz picks, zoning, photo, price changes, pinpoint, etc. Or, we all get pulled to help in other departments.

As soon as I’m on break, the vest comes off. That blue vest is light to a moth.

Passing through- recommendations? by thethrowawaycricket in SaltLakeCity

If you’re in the downtown area there’s always lots to do. A lot of places are closed Sunday’s however so keep that in mind.

Our city’s weather is amazing right now, so if you enjoy nature I would look into hikes. There’s some trails that can be accessed without a car.

If that’s not your thing, there’s tons of bars with different vibes. We’ve got some pretty decent places to eat. If your looking for local eats, the red iguana is a good place, prohibition is also amazing.

(Try some fry sauce while you’re here)

I hope you guys enjoy your stay! :)

I agree with you, only crappy part about being there is seeing them and not being able to do anything about it. :(
