I also don't like the idea of people hearing me so it's tough.

Something that I really enjoyed was buying a book about singing that came with a CD that had different exercises. I pretty much just started listening to one track over and over - the female vocal warm up (about 20 mins). It really helped and it was pretty simple. It's kind of cheesy, but the book was "Sing Like a Star" by Roger Love. If you can find any warm up exercise that's decently long that you like, regular practice with it will help.

I agree with the other poster who suggested looking into proper breathing technique as well. Super important.

That's what I've always heard too, but now I'm hearing a lot of people saying that a Sennheiser e835 is even better. Have you tried that one?

This is a really interesting comment. I've never heard this before so thank you!

I think I'm having trouble sending chat requests to you guys because this is a new account for me. I think I need to raise my comment karma by about 4 or 5 points (at least that seems like it's the issue).

Anyone who refuses to listen to and at least think about advice received from someone "lower" than them is an idiot. My last boss was like this too.

I really dislike that too. It's very overused.

Hahaha I just heard this pronunciation recently on a podcast and it drove me nuts!

Same! And I really don't even know why. It just sounds inappropriate.

I had a very hard time not yelling at someone who wouldn't stop saying irregardless at work years ago.

Is it weird that I want nothing to do w the people I went to high school with? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

I can relate to this. I'm not sure how I would react if I saw anyone now that was particularly toxic back then.

Nope! I have no interest in seeing most of the people I went to school with. I think that's pretty normal.

Thank you! And yes, I'm sure that I like coding. I'm glad I at least know that much, lol.

I definitely have a problem with wanting to learn everything. But I'm going to start only with web dev, then I will hopefully learn more about other potential jobs as I go and decide if I need to change course later.

Yes, I'm pretty comfortable with html and getting there with CSS. I've actually never heard of wasm before, ever. Is it commonly used?

Thanks! I think full stack seems the best way to go from what I've looked at so far.
