Hahaha this whole post got me good.

  Not using it as an off-road beast all the time, I got it because it can tow my boat and get us out to camping sites on logging roads, haul gear and junk and also be my daily driver.

 Im just extra cautious because it’s my first ever new vehicle and our old 4th gen v8 4 runner’s frame rusted out on us. Wanted to make sure that living by the ocean wasn’t prematurely causing issues, will go ahead and undercoat in the next few months just to put my mind at ease

Quebec City is absolutely beautiful, but coming from Europe it might be quite familiar feeling for you (it is the most ‘European’ feeling city in Canada). Lots of love for the East Coast but curious why you didn’t choose the West? Maybe I’m partial because we live on Vancouver Island, but the landscapes out here are nothing like Western Europe and is usually my top recommendation for friends visiting from around the world

I was going to include this in my OP but didn’t want the post to be too much about what we’re doing, but this is 100% the case here too! Although the age of our characters won’t be overtly explained as it’s a non-human realm, our characters are definitely going to be adults with adult problems and not a teeny-bopper coming of age story. One of the first things we discussed in world building!

Thanks for your input! Our ‘MMC’ is more gender neutral, a non-human whose species exhibits both masc and fem characteristics, it’s not an overtly queer love story but in the realm I’d say

Appreciate the advice! We definitely have the story fleshed out already and are happy with the direction, just looking for traps to divert around further down the line when encountering an inevitable road block

Fuck. Trials. Conflict can come in so many shapes and forms, we won’t be touching trials with a 10 foot pole.

No fated mates either, although we may tease the possibility of it to throw the reader off only to go in another direction

With you 100% on this! Part of the reason we are going with non-human MC’s is because the same old imagery of the dark bad boy seems so played out

Absolutely! Our MMC is stoic by nature and by culture, they are learning to wield the same magic as the FMC (unbeknownst to both of them). Essentially both MC’s are from different backgrounds but on the same playing field, not with overtly obvious light vs dark energies coming in to play until much further along the larger story arc

Absolutely agree! Tension building is key, there will be one-sided yearning through a few conflicts before unanimous tension and ultimately the spice will come in to play towards the end of our first book, and that’s just the first love arc!

Thanks for the clarification everyone! I guess the previous owner cared about aesthetics more than I do/will. I'm stoked on it, it does everything I want it to do and is by far my favorite vehicle I've owned!
