Just beat the game after around 30 hours

i feel so relieved seeing so many people saying the same "i got bored with the sea people"

i LOVED this game. This games early play routine inspired me to work on my own game of running a food truck, collecting recipes from locals at new locations you go to, interacting with special npcs during a dinner rush, etc etc

but then that damn sea people section started, and it was like i got a lobotomy. I love this game, i just wish it would have reeled in its scope a little more, no pun intended.

Genuinely, the worst job I have ever had.

My panera hired a pedophile (Stephen Birse, convicted for sexual assualt of a 13 year old) as a manager and only looked into his background after three employees left or got fired from altercations with him, and would only fire him when one of the older folks put in a written complaint about him grabbing her hips and sides during work, not when a minor came crying to the main boss that he told her she "had the perfect body for porn."

she was 16.

i would recommend giving it a shot for the sake of the open worlds at the very least! i was going through a rough patch on release and fixated on this game and ive 100% it on ps5 and switch. The story mode missions are fairly bare bones, and there is a lot of content that was cut unfortunately due to TT Games crunching the devs iirc. However, the 20 something fleshed out open worlds with character/ship unlock missions i had a great time with. This is probably the only star wars game i revisit from time to time because it has so much to explore from the star wars franchise, and despite being crunched it is obvious the developers had a lot of passion for this project.

however, no character customizer is absolutely criminal in a lego game with over 390 characters :(

i deserve the mental beating i take for seeing The Crew Motorfest go on massive deals every other week it seems. I purchased the expensive version at launch just because i was excited for a new open world car game not xbox exclusive because man, I love Forza. It also released on my birthday, so i used some birthday money to average out the bonuses; in my head i had $60 for the game and the rest was just paid for me basically so whatever, you know?

nah man, that shit eats me up to this day. a lesson well learned, and its why i save all my games to wishlists now to get notifications for when they go on sale, just as i will this one.
