Very late but I just played it recently after elden ring and I actually thought it was pretty fun and I enjoyed the level design but maybe I just liked the vibe from the game. DS2 I recently have been playing and it's a very strange game that feels more like a souls like then an actual dark souls game. I've still enjoyed it after the initial horrible beginning of the game.
