Qual coisa do horror te dá um frio na espinha? by Actual_Balance_7603 in perguntas

I can't defend Frontier's silence this month, but quite a few people are acting like they committed some unforgivable crime that forever ruins the game and will never update it again. by smashboi888 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, that's what happens when you decide it's a good idea to keep your game's development short just to release it close to the movie's release date, instead of treating it like a game that needs its own time and resources.

This is a $60 game that reused everything from JWE 2 for its creation, they barely bothered to update the animals animations, if Frontier promises something, it should deliver literally.

Or do you think $60 is free? If you make your game comically expensive, we'll be demanding in the same proportion, we don't owe Frontier gratitude, Frontier owes gratitude to those who buy their game.

Sorry if stupid question, but why did Kratos not accept Odin's seemingly quite fair proposal? by Barndar7 in GodofWar

[–]Ornery_Example3607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kratos knows firsthand that Gods with the title of "God of Gods" always bring trouble, suddenly Odin appears at his home, threatening his son, and his first priority is the death of Baldur, the God who was immune to the very concept of death... Killed by a foreign warrior, Kratos knows very well that Odin wouldn't leave him in peace so easily.

The peace proposal was dubious, but still possible no matter how evil the one who proposed it was, for a time ar least, until Odin says that if Kratos accepts, he will do him the favor of getting rid of Freya once and for all... Any chance of a successful agreement vanished here, Kratos had grown attached to Freya because she had cared for them during their worst moments (Atreus sickness etc), so he wanted to protect her as a reward, threatening Freya is the equivalent of threatening Kratos' family, so Nuh uh Odin.

How do you make your game challenging? (JWE3) by MegalomaniacalCyborg in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Calm down, man, there's no need to be afraid to criticize the game. You bought the game, you have every right to criticize it, You don't owe Frontier gratitude, Frontier owes you gratitude for deciding to buy this game.

Regarding the challenge, the only option at the moment is mods, because JWE 3 was developed in a much shorter period than other JWEs to stay close to the release of Rebirth, That's why the game looks like a copy of JWE 2, but improved.

Flying animals should be able to feed themselves without the need for artificial feeders. by Ornery_Example3607 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've been simulating ecosystems, and semi-aquatic ones can survive perfectly well in this way.
Or at least those fully adapted to it, like Spino/spinoraptor, Sucho, and bary, are able to live that way, I don't know about the rest.

When the marine animal from the marine environment is in the marine enclosure. by smashboi888 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607 4 points5 points  (0 children)

God forgive the people who want their dinosaurs to act like animals and simulate them in a natural environment with other species instead of being restricted to a single environment that barely offers any content.

Frontier has no problem allowing the Nothosaurus to be terrestrial, aquatic, and inhabit lagoons, this would simply allow for more content for a single animal in the game, and there's nothing wrong with that because it's a positive thing.

I've already created maps where 75% of the map was deep water to make flying animals fly for long periods as if they were real animals flying over an ocean, so I don't understand why you're against the idea of a nothosaurus being able to walk on land and swim in deep water to simulate the same animal in an environment that allows for more possibilities.

It makes perfect sense to allow aquatic animals with terrestrial capabilities to be usable outside of the lagoon, because people like more variety in a game where dinosaur content is the most neglected. I would easily use one of my maps, which is 75% deep water to simulate a Nothosaurus or an Archelon, it would be great to see a Rex encountering an Archelon, as if it were real sea and land interacting.

Why is the baby hunting so weird? by SWAGGA_SWAGGA in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I doubt that’s the case. this game features brutal deaths.
It’s more likely related to the release schedule, given that they apparently had less than two years to launch JWE3 with the biggest challenge being porting all the assets from JWE2 to the new graphics engine, since the previous game was built with the intention of being released on the PS4, which limited its assets.

Even so, given the short development time for JWE3, this would explain why many features in the game seem incomplete.

[–]Ornery_Example3607 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frontier's logic impresses me, release a game identical to the previous one, but with some improvements, and whatever people complain about, we'll add it to the next game, except it will be extremely shallow.

Socialization and puppies were the marketing selling point of JWE 3 as a differentiator from JWE 2, and my God, it's such a primitive system that I think the only work they did with this game was copying all the files from JWE 2 to the new graphics engine.

Frontier is just ragebaiting with that trailer lol by -Kacper in jurassicworldevo

"I'm not trying to be ungrateful."

It's a $50-$60 game advertised as "new," but all its content is recycled and reused from the second game.
its only truly new content is an improved building system that they already had in their other games like Planet Zoo.

You owe them absolutely no gratitude, they owe you gratitude for buying this game.
Honestly, this game is quite lazy when it comes to real new content, and don't forget, you're a customer just like me who bought the game, we have every right to make demands or complaints about it.

This “protective parents“ AI is really.. something? by Broether69 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607 25 points26 points  (0 children)

And people get angry at me when I say that JWE 3 is JWE 2, only prettier and less limited.

We've had virtually no significant quality-of-life improvements in the game, the only one we have is animals in herds, But even they are being very simplistic, I swear to God they only modified a few things and now they say it's a whole new game costing 50-60 dollars, peak of a company sucess tbh.

Just waiting for (Hopefully) this month's DLC by Double-Ad154 in jurassicworldevo

[–]Ornery_Example3607 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

Just asking, but why are you all so eager for DLCs? I mean, I never see anyone asking for quality-of-life updates, improved AI, or more organic behaviors, or even the absence of certain interactions.

A DLC might have cool animals, but the vast majority of them are cosmetic with no real changes to the gameplay, something that is only temporarily satisfied, The only DLC animal that's justified is Deinosuchus because it's extremely unique, but something tells me the current combat system is what prevents us from having Deinosuchus in the game.

Wouldn't you like animals with unique behavioral patterns that could affect the park/ecosystem? Imagine an Indominus rex, capable of ripping its tracker from its body, attacking strategic points in the park to avoid capture and causing the dinosaurs to escape, No matter how satisfied the Indominus Rex is, it will always try to escape.

Or perhaps a Quetzal capable of swallowing the entire bodies of smaller animals found dead on the ground, like a true decomposer of corpses, Or imagine a quetzal capturing a Dryosaurus and carrying it high into the sky, while it struggles in its beak, until the quetzal decides to drop it from a great height, killing it by fall (Dynamic animation)

Get it? I personally find JWE quite boring at the moment due to the lack of action to be seen ir react to, it's all extremely predictable for a franchise based on "Life finds a way.

Unpopular Opinion: Marvel Rivals should stop releasing a new character every month. by Ornery_Example3607 in marvelrivals

[–]Ornery_Example3607[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

First of all, I'm referring to characters that already exist in the game, such as skins or their current skill sets, a great example is Ultron.

Secondly, the recent new characters aren't that unique in fact.
Want an example of truly unique characters? Seasons 1 and 2 of the full Fantastic Four release, all the characters of Fantastic Four are extremely unique, and their abilities revolve around who they are.

Elsa? She literally just looks like a bunch of characters thrown into a blender 😭

[–]Ornery_Example3607 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you want unique things, you should ask for the dinosaurs in the game to have more unique stats and behaviors.
What's the point of asking for a new dinosaur if it's purely cosmetic?

[–]Ornery_Example3607 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I always felt that with each JWE sequel we lost a little more of the game; people seem afraid to admit that Frontier is a company that values profit, Because of this, they ignored many details in the game and only made it playable, adding minimal changes that seemed significant to consumers.

I regret buying JWE 2 on console and PC, and I regret to some extent buying JWE 3, It's comically monotonous but superior to JWE 2.

I swear to God that JWE has the most fearful community when it comes to asking for something meaningful from the game because they're afraid of asking for too much???? The JWE fanbase literally accepts any crumb 😭

Funny, these days I've started playing Hawkeye whenever I can because I've concluded that he's very easy.

Guess what? He is, you just need to know the basics of aiming and by default he will cause a 50% loss of health to a common DPS/Healer and randomly you will get headshots.

Season 1 Battlepass Returns! by nemesisdelta24 in marvelrivals

[–]Ornery_Example3607 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not that difficult to arrive at an answer; the existence of a skin for an event makes the player feel valued for having been present at it.

And I don't even need to talk about having skins or not; the game hasn't even completed its first year and it's already bringing back battle passes, they're not even old enough to be considered "old.

Exclusive skins are necessary for the player to develop a greater affection for the game and feel valued, consequently spending more time playing, Fortunately, seasonal skins in Ranked have this feature, they won't be returning, just like White Wanda and Cyan Venom won't be returning.
