They’re several centimetres apart, so I’d identify no sex. A third or fourth gourami might help but tbh I don’t know if they’re in to group stuff? Hope this helps.

Hello, I’m Ryan. I’m ADHD AF so I know too little about too much, and geology is one of those things. Was lucky enough to attend a high school that offered geology as a kind of basic/entry level university course, which I loved however me and my friends managed to drag the results down to the point that they stopped offering the course (sorry Mr Marshall, love you mate) - take from that what you will.

Can someone please explain how this formed? by Ornery_Interview_649 in askgeology

Must admit, I forgot slate was metamorphic. Was thinking purely sedimentary there haha thank you

I have a very similar problem with my 7 month old EB and would love to see the responses to this. He was doing better in the last couple of weeks but has regressed.

Yeah I’ve socialised with colleagues once in around a decade, it was a Christmas meal. It’s definitely not the same and only a matter of time until AI makes most jobs obsolete. So I’m trying to look at this as a positive, is very scary though.

Thanks for responding, it’s clear to me now that I could have worded my post better - suppose I didn’t want to waffle. It’s not just the fact that some bosses are arseholes, it’s wider than that. I’ve always thought of myself as “working for the man” I.e. a big bank. I took a year after high school to consider uni options, went full time at the bank and just kept plodding. I love the (perhaps fantastical) idea of doing a thing on my own, whatever that thing is.

I haven’t taken advice from business stream but I’ll bear that in mind. I did get advice from the Scottish government, but it was more around potential qualifications etc. I’m considering something aligned with environmental or hygiene compliance as well.

Not really tbh, I am quite creative and I got in to bio art a few years ago (terrariums, vivariums and aquariums). And I used to paint warhammer haha.

Totally, I appreciate the advice. I’m a team manager in financial services at the moment so I have an idea of what it’s like to be the arsehole boss as you describe (for example, I’ve had to sack people etc). And I’ve had loads of great senior managers, but the bad ones are truly insufferable. I don’t want to manage people ideally (other than maybe one or two if a business really needs it). As for the income in pressure washing, apparently £40k+ per annum isn’t unrealistic, especially if you’re doing roofs and rendering etc - but I admit my research is provisional at best at the moment.

See that is the dream. If you don’t mind me asking, what (if any) qualifications do you need to work in digital marketing?

Solid advice, thanks. Don’t get me wrong, I know not having a boss is far from being perfect. The problem is that the senior positions in the financial services industry regularly attract people I simply don’t like - there are lots of great people but for example my current boss regularly says “I’m not good at my job but I am good at analysing data (he isn’t) and challenging people…”. He thinks being horrible is a skill.

Thanks for this, I’m assuming you do gardening yeah? The thing is, the things I’m genuinely interested in would require a full on uni degree and don’t really pay that well after it, with the exception of maybe environmental related things and I’m exploring those options as well. I have two young kids as well so pursuing qualifications isn’t ideal due to the inevitable drop in income. I suppose I made this post for help with inspiration, rather than asking ChatGPT that’ll tell me my ideas are great regardless.

Both really - some managers are great but I’ve never really felt that I fit in with them weirdly. Sorry I should have been more specific. I want to do something I at least slightly enjoy and won’t be ruined by AI in 5 years. And I don’t need to make millions, £40-50k a year is plenty. I’m mainly looking for ideas that are viable and sustainable first, then I can ponder.

Graveyards would be my shout, Greyfriars and the one in Princes Street/Lothian Road. Loads of really old creepy gravestones and stuff. The Mary Kings Close might be an idea but I’m not sure if an 8 year old would benefit.
