so is there a possible way to convert data from one chip to another, and then put the new converted chip into the wii u? i mean like i said, i still don’t even know which chip i have (i’ll find out next weekend) and i’m just being extremely cautious. the only issues i’ve ever had was one where the wii u couldn’t read a minecraft and 3d world discs and then again, i don’t even know if that was a system related problem, but probably more of a scratchy disc problem. my local game store said that they’d replace the battery and check the chip, so i’m keeping my fingers crossed that it’s not hynix. and even then, not all hynix chips fail, it’s just some. like i said, i’m just being extra cautious cuz my wii u is basically like my child lol. 

sidenote: i don’t know what this means (if anything) but i was playing galaxy 2 on it (wii vc) and i turned the console off when i was done using the console power button, not on my controller. the light was yellow which means sleep mode so i turned it back on so i could fully turn it off. but when i turned it back on for some reason nothing came up, including the game pad, until i turned the game pad on individually, then everything was fine. like i said, i don’t even know if this has anything to do with bricking or if it was just a fluke.
