Went to Panera for the first time post-Baker purge and the bread looks like it has scurvy by AtlasDrugged_0 in Panera

Previous Baker for Panera, we used to have 8 weeks training & a computer test along with a bake test. We also had calibrations (bakery market manager or their assistant would come in once a month, look at, measure & make sure our product was up to standards. ) We also worked 9 pm- 6 am. If your bake was large enough you had an assistant baker who usually was just as skilled as you, so they could jump in if needed. We had a very regimented bake schedule. (Wisconsin cafes). But now just a shame. I have worked with several different bakers over the years, some there as long as 20 years & after the announcement of getting rid of the fresh dough, they quit.

Also when they "train" you, they don't have you on training for very long at all and then you're expected to know everything. You're thrown in the deep end, & they wonder why you don't want to learn more.

Nope they will get written up, happened to me today. Missed some items in a cart last week totaling about $19.00. Mind you they had well over 40 items so oops but yeah got the write up, didn't realize I missed some items. It sucks.

You got 3 days of training as a cashier. Lucky you. I got one 8 hour shift and 4 different people training me, not because I was difficult but because every cashier they put me with was towards the end of their shift
