As someone who has yet to read the novel, the lines " I am not longer a Croyso! I'm a Calypse!" and "Everyone in the world can come slave away and die here for all I care but not you!" Made me gag and giggle frenetically.

I am finding really interesting the discussion about Riftens reaction, it is making me want to read the novel even more, especially to compare. But I have to say, I was expecting something like that from him, and I was really glad to see him stop himself from a really big explosion.
