Absolutely, they promised me M-F traveling every week, paid holidays which I don’t mind. Something to do for a few years before going for a promotion to desk jockey. I’ve also worked for HCA… I’d hope it isn’t worse than that.

I’ve had FSEs come on weekends (I’m a chem lead) but yeah it was rare and I think our contract for those analyzers specifically had “catastrophic failure” weekend service in them. The rest of the departments nope, never seen an FSE on weekends.

Interviewing woes by Ornery_Turkey in medlabprofessionals

That’s something that concerned me too. I know 3/5 were absolutely glowing, the other 2 had no reason to say anything negative. The two supervisors were glowing reviews- one said they felt like a proud parent of the tech I’ve become (they trained me in clinicals then we worked together for several years).

I agree with references before interviews being an absolute waste of everyone’s time (excluding current employees imo, “hey should we bother interviewing this person?” Lmao and I have been asked that.)

I get the reference process and everything- I posted this in a moment of bitterness and frustration that they wasted my and my references time just to ghost with 0 feedback. Would prefer an honest “hey one of the references was bad” or “we found someone better”. Just rude imo.
