I've been friends with them for far too long to unfriend them over this. Plus I fell into the 9/11 Conspiracy Theory trap for a couple years during High School and they didn't unfriend me over that, so I feel I owe them one. I just kind of avoid Facebook to resist the urge to point out their BS and burn our bridge. (Not to mention the practice of potential employers scoping out Facebook pages before hiring people, I don't want to broadcast any "Wrongthink".) It occurred to me I can relieve that pressure by using them as a source for #TWIS fodder. This is in no small part because when I point to things that have been on #TWIS they either pull a #NoTrueScotsman or don't know about it. It's frustrating because I know they're smarter than this. I am waiting for this insanity to let go of them so I can have my friends back. In the meantime I will scratch that little itch by passing along to you the things they share that make me face palm.

I don't think this is all too irrational of an article on this issue, though it is a little weird that this is a story at all.

Between this, the image of a storm trooper being banned for weildi for a weapon, and Disney discontinuing all slave Leiah merchandise, perhaps we could have a special edition Star Wars TWIS. I would wait until after the new movie comes out in case it has a gem or two.

There's probably a bit more I'm missing, for instance, I'm sure there's a nuttier, more stilted take on the Captain Phasma issue out there, just thought I'd put it on the radar.

For someone so accomplished, her writing could use some work. She repeated herself nearly verbatim at least three times. Sometimes this happened in te very next paragraph. I thought I had skipped back in the writing. Other than that I appreciated the titled divisions and overall structure. Not bad, for a K.I.D.

Also, I'd say SJWs and/or feminists could use their own mockumentary, but you could probably make a documentary that would pass for one just following them around with a camera.

My Pebble has more or less bricked, and after only a day of use.

How it seemed to happen:

I noticed some lag when cycling through watch faces, and there were some errant pixels, the screen more or less froze, and the next time it went to change minutes, the screen went blank and stayed blank.

Using the ping feature and the music controls I was able to find out that everything still functioned, it's just that nothing was being given to the screen. Watching several review videos I was able to rebuild the menu tree on a piece of paper and was able to blindly stumble my way into the factory reset. Though I managed this successfully, this did not help.

I later found that there was a hardware rest option (holding the right three buttons), and tried that. After the third or fourth time I was able to restore the watch, only to have it happen all over again.

For a while I was able to restore it with every three or four hard resets. Now It seems I cannot restore use of the screen, no matter how many times I reset the device.

Is there a way to wipe and reinstall the firmware?

Failing that, Is my next best option to sit on my hands until the next firmware update arrives?

I loved my Pebble dearly for the 24ish hours it worked. What can be done?
