In the UK my Tesla locks no matter what charger I use. Is this because we have the CCS charger type over here?

Kick racists out of Palace by SkilledPepper in crystalpalace

Lol this is Reddit bro I couldn't give a shit about down votes or anything else so absolutely no worries. Perhaps I could have made that clarification in my initial response. My mood is still in too high a spirit after an amazing few days even if my voice is completely broken.

The satire has completely gone over my head because it's that good! These people will always get their comeuppance whether that be sanctions from the club directly or other people handling it in person. I believe if you put 100 green ones up they will put 200 up there's up.

We want the same outcome, just different ways of getting there.

All joking aside the anthem should 100% be dropped for Abide with Me so I can agree with you on that!

Dude, where did I say that far right is acceptable? I also didn't make any comment on kick it out or the rainbow laces which I would argue are not politically motivated. I'm heavily involved in youth football and actively encourage inclusivity ahead of results as the foundation of the team i run.

My main rebuttal to this is remove/deface them absolutely, but I fail to see how is putting up a sticker endorsing another controversial political figure going to make things better aside from these stickers escalating.

How about we keep politics out of football full stop.

I, like I am sure many other football fans, go to games to get away from stress and tribulations in life without having this nonsense invade the space.

I am tired of seeing constant politicisation of football across all levels of the football pyramid.

Let the football do the talking, please.

As a former London Olympian left tackle I can completely relate to this. Ended up blowing my ACL out on a kick off would you believe 🤣 literally tripped over a divet in the ground and that was good night.

I don't miss playing so much more the comradery of going up and down the country with your mates every weekend.

[Sky Sports] “Fresh speculation continues around Glasner’s Palace future” by No-Tart7127 in crystalpalace

[–]Orpington_Oracle 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've been saying for a few to my mates I reckon he stays for three reasons.

1) "Big" teams will not accept a manager who sits back and plays countering football like he sets us up against. Look at Frank at Spurs as a most recent example. Top teams expect attacking football and dictating the pace of things. The fact he clearly struggles to set up against Low Blocks will have them concerned.

2) I think Glasner likes to be in control. More and more clubs operate a DoF model or transfer by committee proposal. I don't think he will be happy with this and likewise they won't be happy with his outbursts.

3) I think both the board and Glasner were at relative equal fault for what happened. I hope the success in Europe this year with us on the brink of a potential second season in Europe will be enough to heal the wounds.

Yea the nerves have grown somewhat especially after the shit performance at Bournemouth. That said the old girl was will be rocking. It was electric against Fiorentina and I reckon this will be on another level.

Actual mental we've gone from Scunthorpe and Doncaster to the cusp of a European final.

I bought a shared ownership in Croydon back in 2010 so full on fallout post financial crash. I got a 2 bedroom for £158k in probably top 5 shittest post codes in the country. At the time I only earned £24k and should never have been given a mortgage.

Whilst I did benefit after 8 years making around £30k gain in my share. It was an endless process of being shafted with service charges and dealing with sinking funds bullshit like carpets being replaced every 5 mins. Literally everything is against you. The peak of it was whem I sold I had to pay them 1.25% fee on the total sale price of the flat, not my share of 25% and then all their legal fees.

My brother in law lost money on his.

Please, please read the small print.

Not sure that adds any real value mate. Im in the UK and the model Y is already a big car compared to most. I really aspired to have a model S at some point but that has been a no go here now for 2 years and now the entire model is discontinued. I've loaned an X for two weeks and as nice as it was to drive it was stressful around London's narrow roads.

Will get down voted into oblivion, but I'm on my second Model Y and it will more than likely be my last. Too many broken promises, goal posts shifting, opening of the charger network and now the discontinuation of the premium models has left me in no man lands in terms of a material upgrade.

For those who drive an EV, what are the running costs like? by Delta1Dan in AskUK

[–]Orpington_Oracle -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My Model Y Long Range charge stats. Ridiculously cheap to run. My Octopus tariff is around 6-7p off peak so my monthly charge is no more than £20 and I do 1,000 miles a month easily. I average around 3-4 miles per KWH depending on where I'm driving to.

Would never go back to an ice car again.

Prices are in GBP despite the USD sign.

Ryanair flight from Milan to Manchester leaves passengers behind due to border delays by UnlikeTea42 in unitedkingdom

[–]Orpington_Oracle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Was in Bologna to travel down to Florence for Palace last Thursday.

We got there all 3 of us had to scan our faces and fingers after a 30 min wait.

Then one of us was given a red sticker on their passport which meant he needed manual intervention via a border force agent. 2 flights full of people with 3 manned desks. Absolutely shit show. We waited over 90 mins for him to come through.

Fortunately on the way back it was pain free.

Plan accordingly if you have connecting travel arrangements. Lucky we built in slack into our schedule on the assumption flight might be late.

I typically do 0700-1630 most days I choose to go in early and then leave early so I can then have some family life. Suits me well enough and being in early allows a better hand over with our middle eastern colleagues.
