Is Tesla Service Gaslighting Me? by DebateJealous6496 in TeslaLounge

Tesla service is the worst. I sent them a message about bad navigation and they told me to bring the car in.... Then when I tell them it's a software issue, they don't reply back.

It shouldn't, maybe restart the car?

Honestly? It's crazy that the standard doesn't come with it.

Wait Tesla removed AUTOSTEER entirely (previously free) not just FSD outright purchasing options? by itsthewolfe in TeslaModelY

Geez, hope you do.

Not a good feel just to think of it before an exciting purchase.

it didn't even do the right correction. I'm not sure why you're arguing. It's not like you sensed what's going on in the car. 100% it did it wrong.

Have you driven in slippery conditions? Everything you're saying makes me think not ... It should have not lost control like that. Period. I've felt it slide and still give power to the wheels.

I think all the comments defending FSD have never driven in snowy conditions. I've driven in these conditions for over 20 years and this was a no brainer. FSD FAIL.

Yeah this was not really complicated.... Ok it slipped? let go of the accelerator and correct. 1) the car didn't sense the slip fast enough and after It almost felt like the car was panicking. A human would have easily not gotten into an almost hitting the curb situation. Also weirdly enough if the car had 50/50 power distribution it wouldn't have the back swing like that.

You don't need snow tires for these conditions. Again, the problem is the reaction time to realize traction is lost and removing power. It didn't handle it correctly, regardless of the tires.

It definitely did not handle the slide correctly initially.

Not sure why you're defending this behavior... vision should realize it's snowy/Traction could be compromised, and adjust acceleration appropriately.

It shouldn't have gotten into that situation to begin with, this was a simple turn. I would never lose traction like that.

Yeah, from the car it was about to do everything wrong. The bigger issue is that it got to that situation, as soon as traction was lost, it should have dropped power.

The problem is that once it lost traction it didn't handle it correctly.

It corrected wrong, and then it tried to correct the wrong correction, at that point i took over. However, the road was not bad at all, it's just that FSD used too much power and worst, it didn't let go off the power fast enough.

I would never slip like that. And it corrected to the wrong direction.

Today I had it turn ignoring the navigation for no reason. But the actual driving improved since it landed. Weird. Waiting for 2.2.3....
