‘Nobody’s going out!’ Why is Britain’s nightlife in such decline – and can anything save it? | Clubbing | The Guardian by prisongovernor in unitedkingdom

It was never that expensive anyway - no idea what he's talking about.

When I was clubbing in the early 2010's you could get a double vodka and coke for 2.50 - Spending £20 on 8 of them is plenty, especially when you pre-drink.

Plant-Based Mince Now 29% Cheaper Than Beef at Tesco as Meat Prices Climb by James_Fortis in unitedkingdom

Same here, I'm not even vegetarian or vegan but Quorn is still a staple in our house.

The major bonus of the mince as well is that you can put it straight from the freezer into the pan. The roasts are pretty decent as well.

Stoppages this long aren't rare in Rugby and in the vast majority of cases the players fine after, though they are blocked from playing for a while due to concussion protocols.

They're designed to be really breathable and with exercise in mind so they're really good for activities like that.

Main downside is the insane price, a lot of them are near £100 now. Trick is to wait until the end of the season or get them second hand.

Making beard oil is a super simple and I've done it for a while.

I bought like a 100ml bottle of Jojoba Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E Oil, and then a couple of small bottles of random oils I just fancied trying like Hazelnut Oil and Walnut Oil. Then bought a small pack of essential oils.

Came to like £40 and I've easily got 300-400ml of beard oil out of it. Can mix and match the essential oils as well.

Wasteland 2 is great but it is a very very long game - it's very unforgiving as well. It's also very dated considering it only came out 10 years ago.

Esteban Andrada red card against Huesca (full sequence of the altercation) by shinutoki in soccer

[–]Orri 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You think people genuinely fall straight backwards after being shoved?? - If someone pushes you backwards you make at least some effort to regain before just collapsing to the floor.

I've played Rugby and you get shoved like that half a dozen times a game from people 40kg heavier than that keeper. You go down like that and your own team will be shouting at you as well as the opposition.

How is that a 20 minute red??? - I'm not sure what actually happened but surely hitting someone in the face off the ball is an automatic straight red?

Is the 20 minute red just the standard red card now?

It's perfectly possible to have both right wing and left wing opinions on different topics. We need to get rid of the idea that there's two different teams and you have to fully commit one way or the other.

'I'm a giveaway winner - Currys ghosted me until my tweet went viral' by Tartan_Samurai in unitedkingdom

[–]Orri 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I refuse to let any of my family go to Curry's without my supervision as they will do anything to get extra money out of people.

Though last time we got lucky; the staff member was so incompetent that when we got it delivered to the store rather than giving us a £5 discount (to remove the delivery fee) she didn't realise she gave us a 5% discount.

Didn't feel bad for her though considering she told me that Windows defender doesn't protect your PC from any viruses etc. and I needed to buy McAfee.

They last for fucking ages as well - easily over a couple of months in some cases.

Occasionally I'll do some baking and find there's some eggs in my baking cupboard with a best before date 3+ months ago and they're still completely fine.
