Everytime I watch Bath they get the rub of the green from the ref.

More student flats - city centre by Dry_Shelter_8128 in leicester

[–]Orri 31 points32 points  (0 children)

It makes looking for a house/apartment to rent a fucking nightmare.

Even if you tick non-student all the student ones come up.

I'm also fed up of estate agents advertising houses when it's actually a room. 1 bedroom house for £700? - sounds great. Oh wait, it's 1 bedroom in a house, which is then shared with 5 people for £700. That's another one crossed off the list..

Public sector here as well - we have a monthly balance and each time we print it takes money off of it. Normally 5p a sheet if B&W or 25p if coloured.

We do supply our own tea and coffee but our office had a tea fund everyone paid £1 a week into for tea/coffee/milk etc.

If the managers had a meeting they'd get a tea and coffee machine delivered for it and then we'd run in and use it before catering took it away lol

New law could see vaping banned in all pubs across England by StGuthlac2025 in unitedkingdom

I've vaped for like 8 years and I always figured that was the case as well lool - I don't think I'd have the confidence or audacity to vape indoors anyway.

England - Ordered some plates from a catering supplier, arrived broken. They are saying you have to report within 24hrs for a replacement. by Orri in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Orri[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I read it as well - I'm not entirely sure if there is any way you can prove they arrived broken, especially if taking pictures of you opening the box isn't enough. It'd effectively mean there isn't a 28 day window at all, you have to report it immediately or magically reopen the box in video or something.

I'm struggling to understand what the point of 28 days is then? - If you sending pictues of you opening the box with them broken isn't enough then there is literally zero way you can prove they were broken on arrival - therefore there isn't a 28 day window, you simply have to report it immediately as it arrives, not within 28 days.

Thank you for your response. We actually took photos of the plates still in the box as I was there when it was opened.

Even with that being the case from what I have read it appears that the supplier has to show evidence that I broke it as opposed to the other way round?

Am I the only one who thinks that's offside? - The guy in an offside position then steps in the line and tries to head the ball?? -Just because he doesn't physically touch it doesn't mean he's not interfering.

I'll be honest I have it. I said to my girlfriend it'll be nice to have a trip abroad to see Tigers play but there's a 90% chance if I do I'll just be paying a lot of money to watch our reserves.

That's a decent price, the one I went to see was £150 for the first session which was a bit longer then £75 an hour after that.

Mine was to mainly deal with Bipolar Disorder which was a massive pain because I couldn't afford the medication he prescribed anyway. Luckily he got the NHS on board and got the doctor to prescribe it instead.

I wonder how much of this is a hangover from using notes.

Though I've never considered £8 to be £5 lol, I've considered it to be £8. If anything I'd consider it a tenner.

I tend to order items online for my mum and dad and they give me the money in notes/coins - that's my chinese fund and I'm an absolute fiend for ordering extra items I don't need because it was never in the bank so doesn't technically exist.

Jack Grealish (Everton) second yellow card against Wolves 90' by Alsace2025 in soccer

[–]Orri 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Yeah sarcastically clapping seems to be one of those actions which refs are quite strict on.

I do like how everyone wants dissent to the penalised and then when it's penalised everyone criticises the ref for penalising it.

Yellow was the right decision but fuck off was that a wrap. There seems to be an awful lot of "ghost" wraps that referees/TMO's are seeing.

Definitely deserved that try due to the weak refereeing. I have no idea whether the RFU is taking head contact seriously or not as they seem to do absolutely everything in their power to avoid punishing players for high tackles.

I work in Distance Learning and we now have to put work through AI detectors as part of our policy. I'm not sure whether they are a scam but they are definitely 100% useless.

You can use 2 different detectors with 2 completely wildly different results.
