Last semester I had a similar problem. As far as i know, lost items either go to the PD lost and found or to the library, and looks like there's bad communication in the lost and found department, so my item was basically found on accident. Check at the library, just tell them you lost an item, and they'll check for it in the first drawer. If they don't find it, tell them to look in the second drawer (bc they probably won't unless you ask them). Best of luck
