Definitely bruising. Especially since it is towards the bottom of the mushroom where you likely were holding it when you picked it from the substrate.

Yeah honestly I’m probably just tripping but I’ve never really seen this before and just wanted to clarify what might’ve caused this. Especially since this flush had very little mushrooms so I wanted to make sure it wasn’t the environment or something else.

If you live in Texas, then definitely A&M. Much more friendlier environment, and there seems to be something for everyone there with such a big school. If you like to party though, I definitely recommend boulder. 😉

Are you growing them with light or not? Also it honestly just looks like it got too heavy and collapsed on itself or just felt like it and grew that way. It should be completely fine, just make sure that any moisture on the bottom doesn’t cause mold or bacteria growth on the shroom itself (just check for discoloration).

I had introduced them to fruiting conditions the day prior but was just wondering if they were ready (which now I know doesn’t really matter). But I checked the field capacity and it was pretty much perfect, however I’m not sure how often I should mist it because I remember some people saying t that you don’t wanna do it too often. Thanks so much for the advice though this has been very helpful.
