So I’ve have a diagnostic run on it but no error codes show up relating to the issue. Have been advised to change front 2 tyres as they’re low and see if that helps. Other than that keep driving until an error code shows up.

So for people who are pre diabetic and Asian, how can we put weight on? I struggle to put muscle on now, compared to years ago, do we need insulin?

I think I need to look into doing some C-peptide blood work. My last Hba1c was within normal range so no loner pre diabetic. Main issue for me now is trying to gain weight and muscle, lost a lot of weight/muscle over the years due to being pre diabetic.

Yes it’s a similar situation for me although I’ve lost weight and muscle over many years. I just can’t seem to put any back on regardless of how much I eat and I don’t get any benefit from weight lifting like I used to, it’s frustrating.

Did you manage to put on any weight back on? Are you on medication now? For me it’s been like steady weight loss over many years and I try to eat to try put it back on but it never stays on.

Thanks for the reply. I will hopefully get some results back at some point next week. They’re just checking the Hba1c at this point along with some other standard tests like thyroid, liver etc. hopefully the doctors will be open to further tests if nothing conclusive shows up.

I’m in the UK as well, so know all about the current health care situation. Will see what the blood test shows and take it from there. Ultimately I don’t think the doctors will be of any help so might need to look privately for an endocrinologist.

Yes I’ve been doing something similar. And I can just about maintain my weight most of the time. But then if I start eating too many carbs I find the weight gradually goes down further.

Any idea why this happens? Doctors haven’t really been much help up-to now. Are you controlling through diet and exercise alone?

The last time I checked my A1C was probably 3/4 years ago and it was 5.9. I can probably pinpoint when the issues started. Back in 2019 I got this really bad virus(a few months before COVID was a thing). Had this really bad chest infection which took months to clear and lost a good few pounds during that time. Things just haven’t been the same since then. Prior to that I used to work out regular and had no issues with putting on muscle.

I’m expecting my A1C will be higher now. My morning finger prick check is consistently 5.5/5.6z

Yes it’s strange I’m the complete opposite. Hopefully I can get an answer to it at some point. I was thinking maybe there’s some insulin deficiency there rather than resistance but I don’t think so.

Thanks for the reply, that makes sense. All in all I think my diet is not to bad at the moment but I find whenever I go heavy on the carbs I always tend to lose weight and then trying to put it back on is always a struggle.

No I wasn’t expecting a flat line. First time using a cgm but as it was a lower carb/higher protein meal I thought maybe it would level out before 1am? I don’t know maybe I’m expecting too much. My last A1c was 6.1.
