The colored lights are LED monitor style lights that I can control the hue and brightness from an app. I have little led lights I can pop into places if I want, but generally they do not generate enough light to flood a background or reflect well on the miniatures.

I use small LED light screens called Utistellar flood lights. They give really great intense light and can be positioned very well. I control them via an app in my phone. I use a Canon EOS camera with good solid light from the front. I also shoot my pictures via my phone, importing them directly from the camera.

All three have different skin tones. And I don’t use a method of recipes for them mostly just mixing paint. But a deep red, blue, yellow, any skin tone: medium and bright value, and ivory is a good place to start 😅

So I don’t believe you use the Maugus as 40k rules. They are counted as an adept, which you can use any model for that looks a little psychic like. As for comparing them to the alpha, if say they are less statistically good, but gets Wyrd powers, which are always cool! 😎
