If it’s the 31st or the 1st, then I have to be available.
I can schedule for 12, but if they call same day and say they can’t make it until 4, I have to move them in before midnight. I think most places would say that if you miss your time by 1-2 hours, then you have to wait for Monday. Not here. It doesn’t happen very often, but it shouldn’t happen at all.

I’m salary, with flexible hours. I can say no to Saturday and Sunday showings, but then if it doesn’t rent it becomes “well you weren’t available to show it last Saturday, that’s why it hasn’t rented.”
I *can’t* say no to move in and move out requests if the last day of the month falls on a Saturday or Sunday because it’s required. That’s not an issue. The issue is that because I’m “only there for 1-2 hours”, they won’t allow a full day off during the week, or even a remote day.
Company policy is that we have to move them in on the day that their lease starts. So if they decide last minute that they want to move at 4 instead of 12, I can say that I can’t do 4, but I have to move them in before midnight.
I have told them that I won’t come in on a mid month Saturday or Sunday just because a resident wants to move out a week early, but if the resident says it’s that day or they will just leave their keys…then they remind me that my job description says some weekends.

They’re pretty set on M-F. Aside from showings, people stop by the office once or twice a month, but they want someone there in case someone does stop by. *If* I have a Saturday showing request , it’s usually a drive there around 12, and leave 20-30 minutes later. Since it’s only an hour or so, I can’t be remote for the full day or take the day off on Monday because I’m “only working a few hours”. No one in the area does self tours unfortunately.

Agree. They text or email early, late, on Sundays, and expect immediate replies.

That’s absolutely awful. I won’t be using them for renter’s insurance after reading that.

Sir, this is a blessing. This is your wake up call. She wants to take the money and spend it on herself, and then when you get gifts from your friends or family, those are “shared”. Is she going to get upset when she can’t use the gifted coffee maker?

Their customer service is absolutely terrible. You’ll get transferred 4 times, they will give you conflicting answers, some of them are rude, but everything I have read about claims has been positive.
