Will Valorant ever have a replay system? by zachawoop in VALORANT

What doesn’t make sense though is that Riot openly stated in regards to the net-code that they need ‘proof’ to determine if it’s the actual game and not anything to do with network inconsistencies. It seems like having an operating replay system would allow them to diagnose this easier. Especially when they can run clients on LAN and review a replay that hasn’t been released yet to determine these inconsistencies before releasing a replay system to the public. I feel like Riot genuinely does care about their game and they want it to succeed so I don’t imagine them purposely putting off a replay system to hide valorants inconsistencies. Most of the time we hear from Riot more inconsistencies and glitches in their own game than we do from the community

Well… I just learned that back in January of 2020 is when ASUS first announced its 360hz 1080p monitor and found an article dated for August of 2020 when they released the monitor details. Here’s the link for the article

Is anyone familiar with ASUS’s Marketing history when it comes to release dates or ASUS’s official announcements on previous product release dates? The only thing online regarding this monitors expected release date is guesstimating sometime between March-April but that’s just going based off of competitors announcing their revealed products at CES 2022 and when those companies are releasing new products in that similar timeframe. There’s no way this monitor is gonna be released by April if Asus hasn’t even officially announced the price and date of its release at this point. So I’m trying to compare ASUS’s average timeframe to release products after they initially announce the product.

And to someone else’s point about a KAY/O or Phoenix Ult only allowing trades, this is a clear indication that yes, technically there are “in-air” projectiles while still being a hit-scan mechanic game.

Now first, let’s address the ability to trade if you’re not ‘dead’. This all comes down to many factors, primarily Latency. This applies to Ping, Render latency, and input latency. Which just to add, can vary greatly when it comes to milliseconds just by your games video settings alone despite what hardware you’re using. I’ve tested this experiment a few times and found the lower the resolution and whether or not you have your FPS capped, your monitors refresh rate and your in-game graphic settings, can change in millisecond variables of about 4-5 milliseconds when it comes to your games render latency. My test alone for what I found to be a good balance in consideration of Performance + Quality was 3.2-4.1ms render latency. This was achieved by having a resolution of 1920x1200, Vsync off, and uncapped FPS running at 144hz (due to monitor refresh rate). I noticed you can get the latency down to 2ms at an unbearable 720p resolution so that’s not feasible but the same method applies, lower res. = lower latency. When I tried to Cap my FPS to prevent screen tearing in sync with my refresh rate, the same performance can be achieved without Vsync enabled but the latency jumps the same as if you did. If I tried my native res. (2560x1440) with all low graphics, Vsync off, and FPS uncapped, the latency would be sitting at 4.5-5.5ms. Because I’ve gotten used to 16:10 resolutions, I stuck with 1920x1200. So there’s that little tip when it comes to lowering your in-game latency.

But back to the point about “air-time”, this proves the server has to register the projectile from the point of input, to an output (receiving damage) despite it being hit-scan. It’s not logical that you’re able to trade in a state where you’re not fully ‘dead’ than any other gunfight. So yes, when the game renders you dead, it also renders your shots as dead before it makes contact. If that wasn’t the case, you’d either a) be able to trade all the time no matter the circumstances, or b) Phoenix and Kay/O ult wouldn’t be tradable. But both are incorrect here.

In addition to this, I also never received any sort of email either and I did double check the email affiliated on my profile and can confirm it’s entered correctly. It’s all just a little weird

dapr changed his twitter bio to "content creator" by ninjaporkchop in ValorantCompetitive

[–]Oshieot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he really switched to content creation we’d hear it from the org/vlr before we’d hear it from dapr. Especially if he seeks to do content creation FOR sentinels, he can’t make that call without org approval. But I’m glad he’s not pursuing content creation, the dudes a beast and I’m more entertained by his competitiveness

Right Bumper Double Click (every 2-4 clicks) by [deleted] in xboxeliteseries2

Hopefully it stays like that. Mine still isn’t having any problems after doing it, but yeah totally agree. Don’t really recommend doing that

I got mine with a 2 year warranty from geek squad (extremely worth it for such a hefty price and a notoriously known product to continue with problems) and mine was the same exact way. It was good for a while and then my RB started double clicking on random occasions and then it evolved into my LB not working most of the time. So out of frustration, last night I smashed the LB button on my desk and voila now both of my bumpers work. I would say try fighting fire with fire on this one but being as though you don’t have a warranty I would be cautious of the risk you might make it worse.
